Product Information

The Fronius Tauro is a versatile product available in different variants: Tauro 50-3-D, Tauro 50-3-P, Tauro Eco 50-3-D, Tauro Eco 50-3-P, Tauro Eco 99-3-D, Tauro Eco 99-3-P, Tauro Eco 100-3-D, and Tauro Eco 100-3-P. It has IP65 protection rating and flame-resistant NH3 DUST capability. The dimensions of the Fronius Tauro are 1109 x 346 x 755 mm.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Transportation: Ensure proper transportation of the product.

  2. Mounting Conditions: Follow the specified mounting conditions, maintaining a minimum distance of 50 cm.

  3. Mounting Variant Wall: Choose the appropriate mounting variant for wall installation (4a, 5a, 6a, 7a, 8a).

  4. Mounting Variant Floor: Choose the appropriate mounting variant for floor installation (4b, 5b, 6b).

  5. 3rd-party Components Area: Take note of the designated area for 3rd-party components (9).

  6. V-CLAMP Size Change: Perform size change of V-CLAMP as required (1i0).

  7. V-CLAMP to Cable Gland: Connect V-CLAMP to cable gland (1i1).

  8. Optional PE Input: Utilize optional PE input if necessary (12).

  9. AC~: Follow instructions specific to AC~ variant (14, 15).

  10. RCD User Manual: Refer to the RCD user manual for detailed instructions.

  11. DC OFF: Ensure DC power is turned off (13).

  12. Secure Opening: Seal the opening and secure it with the specified torque (16, 17, 18).

  13. AC~ Variant Singlecore: Follow instructions for AC~ variant with singlecore (20a, 21a, 19, 22a, 23a, 24a).

  14. AC~ Variant Multicore: Follow instructions for AC~ variant with multicore (20b, 21b, 22b, 23b, 24b, 25b).

  15. AC~ Variant Daisy Chain: Follow instructions for AC~ variant with daisy chain configuration (26).

  16. DC=: Consider the specified DC= variant (31).

  17. Max. PV Array to Earth Capacitance: Take note of the maximum PV array to earth capacitance based on the Tauro variant (10000 nF for Tauro 50-3-D/P Eco, 19998 nF for Tauro Eco 99-3-D/P, 20000 nF for Tauro Eco 100-3-D/P).

  18. DC= Variant Precombined: Follow instructions for DC= variant with recombined configuration (Eco 50-3-P, PV1/PV2 each max. 75 A, PV1 + PV2 max. 87.5 A, PV1/PV2/PV3 36A/36A/72A, PV1 + PV2 + PV3 max. 134 A; Eco 99-3-P/Eco 100-3-P, PV1/PV2 each max. 100 A, PV1 + PV2 max. 175 A).

  19. DC OFF: Ensure DC power is turned off (PV lines must be fused
    in a combiner box before the inverter) (33a).

  20. Max. Short-Circuit Current per Input: Take note of the maximum short-circuit current per input (ISC PV1/PV2/PV3 = ISC max): 125 A (32a).

  21. DC= Variant MC4: Follow instructions for DC= variant with MC4 configuration (Eco 50-3-D, String each max. 14.5 A, PV1/PV2 each max. 75 A, PV1 + PV2 max. 87.5 A; Eco 99-3-D/Eco 100-3-D, String Input each max. 14.5 A, PV1/PV2/PV3 each max. 75 A, PV1 + PV2 + PV3 max. 175 A; Max. short-circuit current (ISC PV = ISC max): 20 A).

  22. Spread Strings Evenly: Ensure strings are evenly distributed across all input sections (32b).

  23. DC= MC4 Alignment: Align MC4 connectors as required (33b).

  24. DC= Variant MC4 Fuses: Follow instructions for DC= variant with MC4 fuses (38).

  25. Close: Close the designated component as required (39, 40).

  26. Insert Data Cables: Insert data cables if necessary (42).

  27. DC= Fuse Change : Perform fuse change for DC= variant as required (37).

  28. Fronius Tauro 50-3-D F1.1 – F3.7: Follow instructions specific to Fronius Tauro 50-3-D (41).

  29. Switch ON & Commissioning: Switch ON the device and follow commissioning instructions (44, 45, 46).

  30. ON/OFF: Switch ON/OFF the device as required (2-3x).

  31. Open Access Point: Open the access point for further configuration (Ok, Standby, Warning, Error, Connected, Connecting) (47).

  32. IP WLAN Access Point: Use the provided IP address and password for WLAN access point configuration (192.168.250.181, Password: 12345678).

  33. IP LAN1: Take note of the provided IP address for LAN1 (169.254.0.180).

  34. Fronius Solar.start: Use the Fronius Solar.start application to setup the PV system.

  35. Login: Log in with Fronius credentials for advanced system features (email address & password) (Login not required for new product installations).
