Follow all of the instructions carefully and keep them for the lifetime of the
product.
Before installing, check that this Somfy product is compatible with the
associated equipment and accessories.
These instructions describe how to install and use this product. Non-
contractual images.
Any installation or use outside the field of application specified by Somfy is
non-compliant. This invalidates the Somfy warranty and discharges Somfy of all
liability, as does any failure to comply with the instructions provided
herein.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or persons lacking in
experience or knowledge, unless a person responsible for their safety is
supervising them or has provided prior instructions regarding the use of this
product.
CONDITIONS FOR USE
The radio range is limited by radio appliance control standards.
The radio range is heavily dependent on the environment in which it is used:
interference may be caused by having large-scale electrical equipment near the
installation, or by the type of material used in the site walls and
partitions.
The use of a radio appliances (e.g. a set of Hi-Fi radio headphones) operating
on the same radio frequency might be detrimental to the product’s performance.
The purpose of this video entry phone camera is to identify a visitor; under
no circumstances should it be used to monitor the street.
RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL
** We care about our environment. Do not dispose of the appliance with
regular household waste. Take it to an approved collection point for
recycling.
MEANING OF LOGOS ON THE MAINS ADAPTER
** the mains adapter supplied with the product should only be used in a dry,
sheltered place.

CLEANING
Before cleaning, switch off the equipment. The video entry phone should be
cleaned using a soft, dry cloth; do not use solvents.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The video entry phone comprises an indoor monitor and a door station.

camera and to add a personalised MP3 ring tone.
Note: your monitor is supplied with a micro SD card already installed.
4| Visualisation LED| Serves to check that the connections are correct during
commissioning or to report a visit when absent.
5| Motion/presence detector| Serves to activate the screen automatically when
the monitor detects a presence.
6| Speaker| Enables you to hear the ring tone and the person at the door
station. Number of rings: 5 + 1 customisable
7| Terminal block| 7-1 (24 V DC): connection to the power supply (mains
adapter, or DIN rail).
7-2 (CS/call station): connection to the door station.
8| Reset button| With the reset pin supplied, this is used to restart the
connected video door phone or to reinitialise it if the Wi-Fi network is
changed.
9| Operating LED| Indicates the operational status of the connected video door
phone.

8| Back-lit call button| Notifies the resident by triggering the ring tone on
the indoor monitor and by sending notifications with a photo of the visitors to
all the smartphones connected to your Somfy Protect account.
9| Anti-tamper screw| Prevents the door station from being removed without the
assembly key.
10| Terminal block| Used to connect the door station to the monitor, the gate
drive and the electric latch of a pedestrian gate.
11| Speaker volume adjustment button| This is used to adjust the volume of the
door station speaker.
INSTALL THE NAME PLATE
- Turn the call button anticlockwise to the engraved marking then remove.
- Remove the round membrane to access the name plate label.
- Write your name on the white label using a permanent marker, then refit the label and its cove in the housing.
- Reassemble the call button on the door station using the marks, and then turn clockwise until it locks.
USER INTERFACE
INDOOR MONITOR
The screen comes on automatically when movement is detected at a distance of
approx. 25 cm or when it is touched.
In the event of a power cut, the settings are stored in the monitor.

RESPONDING TO A VISITOR
The screen below is displayed when talking to a visitor.
To take the call, press the “telephone off the hook” pictogram. The internal
monitor’s microphone and the door station’s speaker are only activated once
the call has been accepted.
During the call, it is possible to:
- open the gate,
- open the electric door-opener/lock,
- take a photo of the visitor.
- control io-homecontrol® equipment (lighting in the alley, garage door, etc.)
Once the call is finished, press the “telephone hung-up” pictogram.

MANAGING VISITOR PHOTOS
The monitor is supplied with SD card. Each time a visitor calls and is missed, a photo is taken automatically.

VIDEO ENTRY PHONE SETTINGS

5 / 10 s).
IMPORT AN MP3 RINGTONE FROM THE SD MICRO CARD
It is possible to use a MP3 ringtone of your choice instead of 5 default rings
of the video entry phone. For this, access the “Ringtone” menu from the
GENERAL SETTINGS. Then press the pictogram opposite.
In order that the ringtone is compatible with your video entry phone, you must respect the 5 following rules:
- Maximum size of the file = 100 ko
- Max. duration of the file = 45 s (the maximum size of the file shall be achieved before)
- Format = mp3
- File name : do not use special characters or accents
- Max. number of characters number : 12
Note: When exporting a file in MP3 format, remember to click on the
“options” button to reduce the quality of the file to the strict minimum and
also reduce its size.
Insert the micro SD card into the PC/Mac adaptor supplied to load the MP3
ringtone into the MP3 folder.
With a standard MP3 file, the following result is achieved:

DOOR STATION SETTINGS
ADJUSTING THE SPEAKER VOLUME
To adjust the speaker volume, you must use the screwdriver supplied to turn
the button on the back of the door station:
- clockwise to increase the volume,
- anti-clockwise to reduce the volume.
ACTIVATING OR DEACTIVATING THE AUDIBLE BEEP OF THE CALL BUTTON
An audible beep sounds when the visitor presses the call button.
To deactivate or reactivate this beep, press the call button for 5 seconds
until the status confirmation beep is heard.
