1. Warranty
-
Read the user manual of the Lovens
Explorer for the general terms and
conditions and safety instructions for
use of the Lovens Explorer. -
Lovens offers a two-year warranty
against manufacturing and/or
production defects. -
The warranty requires the use of only
original parts. If other parts are used,
Lovens cannot be held liable for any
damage. -
Ensure that the rain cover is properly
fastened as described in the user
manual. Incorrect attachment may
cause damage to the rain cover and/or
hazardous situations. -
Modifying the rain cover yourself is not
permitted. If this is done, functionality
can change and the warranty will be
voided. -
The warranty is valid from the moment
at which the dealer sells the rain
cover to the consumer. This means
it is important to keep your proof of
purchase in a safe place. -
This rain cover is only suitable for the
Lovens Explorer from Lovens.
2. Requirements
2.1 Own parts
-
Certain tools are required to install the
rain cover. Ensure that you have the
following tools: -
Open-ended wrench 9 mm
-
Hex wrench 3
-
Hex wrench

- Rain cover
- Set of rods (2x)
- Connecting rod
- M4x20 bolt (2x)
- M6x20 bolt (2x)
- Adapter (2x)
- Bolt with press connector (2x)
- Loop connector (2x)
- Countersunk screw (2x)
- Cap for loop connector (2x)
- M6 washer (2x)
- M4 washer (2x)
- Nylon bushing (2x)
3. Instructions
3.1 Installation instructions
1. Place the fabric part of the rain
cover ❶ on a clean surface to avoid
scratching the fabric and windows.

2. Open the Velcro strip at the top of the
rain cover ❶ and slide the connecting
rod ❸ in the opening of the rain cover.

3. Place the rod assemblies ❷ in the
opening provided for this purpose in
the fabric, with the straight rods first.

4. Attach the two adapters ❻ to the bike.
Use the M4x20 bolt ❹ and M4 washer
⓬ on the underside and the M6x20 bolt
❺ and M6 washer ⓫ on the side.

5. Screw the press connectors ❼ into the
front of the Lovens Explorer. Fix these
in place using a 9 mm open-ended
wrench.
6. Insert the countersunk screw ❾ into
the loop connector ❽.

7. Turn the screw with loop connectors
into the rear of the Lovens Explorer.

8. Close the loop connectors with the ⓬ caps.

9. Open the caps on the top of the two
adapters ❻. Insert the Nylon bushings
into the adapters.

WARNING
• If you do not use the rain cover, it
is important to remove the Nylon
bushings and to close the openings
on the adapters. This ensures that
children’s fingers cannot become
trapped.
10. Take the fabric with the rod assemblies
and place this in the Lovens Explorer
adapters.

11. Attach the press connectors on the
front of the bike to the fixing points in
the fabric.

PLEASE NOTE
• Ensure that the press connectors on
the front are properly closed. If the
press connectors are not attached or
closed properly, hazardous situations
may arise.

12. Attach the rubber band at the rear to
the loop connector to close the rain cover.
13. The Velcro strip may also be attached
around the frame at the side of the bike.

3.2 Instructions for use
• When placing your children in or
removing them from the bike, you can
detach one of the loops at the rear.

WARNING
• Check that the brake levers on the
handlebars do not touch the rain
cover before use. If this is the case,
adjust the position of the handlebars.
Incorrect adjustment can lead to
hazardous situations. Consult the
Lovens Explorer user manual to find
out how to adjust the handlebars.
PLEASE NOTE
-
To prevent damage or sagging, do not
place objects on the rain cover. -
The rain cover does not protect against
accidents. This means it is important
to take safety precautions as specified
in the Lovens Explorer user manual. -
Ensure that the rain cover is removed
from the Lovens Explorer before
transporting the Lovens Explorer. -
Do not touch the fabric with greasy
hands. -
Take care in extreme weather
conditions. Do not use the rain cover
in winds exceeding wind force 6. This
may adversely affect the safety of you
and the children. -
To reduce the risk of the rain cover
being stolen when temporarily parked,
there is an additional ring on the lefthand
side of the rain cover which can
be used to insert a lock.

3.3 After use
3.3.1 Cleaning
-
Clean the rain cover with a damp
cloth and/or a soft brush. Do not use
cleaning products containing soap or
chemicals. -
Ensure that the reflective strip on the
rain cover is visible at all times. Clean
this with a damp cloth if necessary.
3.3.2 Disassembly
-
Open the press connectors at the front
and rear. -
Detach the Velcro strip from the frame.
-
Remove the rain cover and rod
assembly from the Lovens Explorer. -
Place the rain cover on a clean surface.
-
Remove the rods from the fabric part
of the rain cover. -
Fold both flaps inward and carefully roll
up the fabric. -
Remove the angled rods from the
adapters and place these in the bag
with the other rods and fabric.
3.3.3 Storage
• When storing the rain cover, ensure
that the windows of the rain cover are
not folded more than necessary, as this
may damage the windows.
• Store the dry rain cover in a dry place.
• To prevent damage or sagging, do not
place heavy objects on the rain cover.
• To prevent accidents, we advise
regularly checking the rain cover for
wear.
3.3.4 Maintenance
• If the rubber bands at the back are
worn out or broken, it is possible to
replace them. To do this, open the
Velcro strip and remove the elastic.
Insert the new elastic and close the
Velcro strip again.
