Setting up power supply Base device

  1. Insert the DC connector into the connection socket of the base station.
  2. Insert the mains plug into the power outlet.
  3. The device is energized directly.

NOTICE! For permanent operation, mains power supply is recommended. Alternatively a power supply with batteries is also possible, to keep the time setting in case of power failure.

Proceed as follows: Remove the battery compartment cover.
Insert the batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that the battery polarity (+/-) is correct. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Remote sensor:

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
  2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that the battery polarity (+/-) is correct.
  3. Set the channel selector switch to the desired channel.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

NOTICE! This weather station can be operated with one or more remote sensors. Each remote sensor being connected must be operated on a different channel. If only one remote sensor is connected, it should be operated on channel 1.

Automatic Time Setting

After the power supply was established, the clock will automatically search for the radio signal. The clock will automatically search for the radio signal. If the clock fails to receive the time signal, go ahead with the following steps:

Manual Time Setting

  1. Press and hold button for approx. 3 seconds to initialize the radio signal reception again.

  2. In the standard mode, press and hold the for approx. 3 seconds to enter the time setting mode, and the set item will flash and display. The sequence is as follows: atomic clock ON/OFF→12/24HR→Hour→Minute→Date Format→Year→ Month→Day→Week Language→Weather forecast→ Barometric Pressure Unit→ Barometric Value→ Exit.
    NOTICE! Only 5 five kinds of weather can be preset.
    There are Sunny, Slightly cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy and Heavy rainy. When the temperature is below 25°F(-4°C) and the weather forecast is rainy or heavy rainy, the weather icon will show snowy.

  3. During the setting process, press the or  to select the value. Each time you press the set item, add or subtract 1 up or down. Press and hold to quickly add and subtract. In the setting state, if there is no effective operation within 20 seconds, it will automatically exit the setting and save the set value.

Alarm Setting

  1. Short press button to check the alarm time, the sequence is AL1→AL2→return to the standard mode.
  2. Press and hold the  button for 2 seconds to enter the ALARM setting, the setting sequence is: AL1 hour → AL1 minute → AL2 hour → AL2 minute → Exit
  3. When the setting item is flashing, press the or to select the value. short press once to step 1, press and hold for more than 2 seconds to adjust quickly.
  4. In standard mode, Press the to turn on or turn off the alarm. The setting order is : AL1 Alarm→ AL2 alarm → AL1 and AL2 alarms → Exit. If the alarm turn on. The alarm symbol will be displayed.

Snooze Function

When the alarm is ringing, short press this button once to pause the alarm and enter the snooze mode for 8 minutes, the ZZ symbol and the corresponding alarm clock symbol flash.

C/F select

In normal mode, press    to select ℃ or ℉

Channel Select

In normal mode, press the button to select Channel 1, Channel 2 or Channel 3. Hold the CH button for approx. 3 seconds to reset values and search for an RF signal.

NOTICE! Always make sure the channel chosen on the display unit matches the channel option chosen on the outdoor sensor.

Backlight

When connect with adaptor, press the SNZ/LIGHT button to adjust the brightness. it has 5 levels backlight.
When connect with batteries, press the SNZ/LIGHT button to adjust the brightness. The setting order: High light →off.
NOTICE! For permanent operation, the mains power supply is required. Alternatively, a power supply with batteries is also possible, to keep the time setting in case of power failure.

Weather Forecast

The weather station will calculate a weather forecast for the next 12 hours on basis of the measured values. It has 6 kinds of dynamic weather forecast: Sunny, Slightly cloudy , Cloudy, Rainy, Heavy rainy , Snowy

MAX and MIN temperature and humidity record

In standard mode, Press button to check the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity record. Press and hold the button for approx 3 seconds to clear the record.

Placement of the Device:

Proper placement of both the display unit and the outdoor sensor are critical to the accuracy and performance of this product.

DISPLAY UNIT PLACEMENT

Place the display unit in a dry area free of dirt and dust.
Display unit stands up right for tabletop/countertop use.

Important Placement Guidelines
a. To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place units out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources or vents.
b. Display unit and outdoor sensor must be within 200feet (60m) of each other.
c. To maximize wireless range, place units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces, or other objects that may limit wireless communication.
d. To prevent wireless interference, place both units at least 3ft (1 m) away from electronic devices (TV, computer, microwave, radio, etc.)

Important Placement Guidelines

OUTDOOR SENSOR PLACEMENT

a. The sensor must be placed outside to observe outdoor conditions. It is water resistant and designed for general outdoor use, however, to prevent damage place the sensor in an area which is protected from the direct weather elements and direct sunshine. The best location is 4 to 8 feet above the ground with permanent shade and plenty of fresh air to circulate around the sensor.
b. Display unit and outdoor sensor must be within 200 feet of each other.
c. In order to maximize the wireless range, place units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces or other objects that may limit wireless communications.
d. To prevent wireless interference, place both units at least 3 feet away from electronic devices (EX: TV, computer, microwave etc.)
