Product Information

The HBG-200 series is a 200W Constant Voltage + Constant Current LED Driver. It is designed with a circular metal housing and class design. It features a built-in active PFC function and has an IP67/IP65 rating for indoor or outdoor installations. The driver offers various function options including output adjustable via potentiometer, 3 in 1 dimming, and DALI control technology. It has a typical lifetime of over 50,000 hours and comes with a 5-year warranty. The HBG-200 series is also Type HL certified for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.

Description

The HBG-200 series LED driver has a model encoding of HBG-200-36 A. The model options include A, B, AB, and DA. The function mode options are as follows:

• A: Io fixed
• B: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer
• AB: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer with 3 in 1 dimming function
• DA: DALI control technology

The IP level options are IP67 and IP65. Please note that the HBG-200-36 A model is currently in stock.

Product Usage Instructions

1.  Make sure the power source is turned off before installing or connecting the LED driver.
2.  Connect the input terminals of the LED driver to the AC power source within the specified voltage range (90-305VAC or 127-417VDC).
3. Connect the output terminals of the LED driver to the LED lighting fixture, ensuring proper polarity.
4. If applicable, adjust the output current using the built-in potentiometer. For models with 3 in 1 dimming function, refer to the dimming control instructions for further adjustment.
5. Ensure that all connections are secure and insulated to prevent any electrical hazards.
6. Once all connections are made, turn on the power source and test the LED lighting fixture.
7. If the LED driver has a DALI control option, refer to the DALI control instructions for setup and configuration.
8. For any troubleshooting or maintenance, refer to the user’s manual or contact customer support.

Description

HBG-200 series is a 200W AC/DC LED driver featuring the circular shape design. It operates from 90~305VAC and offers the dual modes constant voltage and constant current output models with different rated voltage between 36Vand 60V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%,with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40°C ~ +85°C case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HBG-200 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE
This series is able to work in either Constant Current mode (a direct drive way) or Constant Voltage mode (usually through additional DC/DC driver) to drive the LEDs.

DIMMING OPERATION

3 in 1 dimming function (for B/AB-Type)

• Output constant current level can be adjusted by applying one of the three methodologies between DIM+ and DIM-:
  0 ~ 10VDC, or 10V PWM signal or resistance.

• Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested. It is not suitable to be used with additional drivers.

• Dimming source current from power supply: 100uA (typ.)

• Applying additive 0 – 10VDC

Note:

1. Min. dimming level is about 8% and the output current is not defined when 0%< lout<8%.
2. The output current could drop down to 0% when dimming input is about Ok 2 or 0Vdc, or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
3. In the case of turning the lighting fixture down to 0% brightness, please refer to the configuration as follow, or please contact MEAN WELL for other options.

Using a switch and relay can turn ON/OFF the lighting fixture.

DALI Interface (primary side; for DA-Type)

• Apply DALI signal between DA+ and DA-.
• DALI protocol comprises 16 groups and 64 addresses.
• First step is fixed at 8% of output.

OUTPUT LOAD VS TEMPERATURE(Note. 11)

: De-rating is needed under low input voltage.

INSTALLATIONS

Caution

• Please inspect the appearance of the driver if the package is damaged. There should not be any cracks.
  ⅜ Please do not drop or bump the driver.

• All screws including the suspension screw should be paired with a spring washer and locked tight.
  % The entire luminaire, including the driver, should be limited to 10Kg or less.
  ~ The luminaire should be cautiously protected from damage due to shock throughout packaging and transportation.
  × Please thoroughly follow the preceding cautionary notes to prevent the luminaire from falling, leading to injuries
