WMF 06 3101 6030 Espresso Maker
Product Information
The WMF Espressokocher is a high-quality espresso maker that impresses with its sophisticated design and durable materials. It can be used on both gas and induction hobs.
Information for Induction Hobs
Induction hobs are a very rapid heat source, and the espresso maker should never be heated when empty as it can be damaged by overheating. Cooking at high temperatures may produce a humming noise, which occurs for technical reasons and does not indicate that your hob or cookware are faulty.
Information for Gas Hobs
When using the WMF Espressokocher on gas hobs, make sure the gas flames do not rise up the side of the espresso maker.
Product Operating Information
- Unscrew the espresso maker by holding the upper and lower parts and turning them anti-clockwise. Take out the funnel insert.
- In the upper part, there is a scale indicating the amount of water for preparing 3 or 6 cups. This allows you to easily dose the required amount of water.
- Fill the lower part with the measured amount of water.
- Place the funnel insert on the lower part of the espresso maker. If you are only preparing 3 cups, place the reduction sieve in the funnel insert as well.
- Now fill the funnel insert with coffee powder, without pressing it down.
- Screw the upper and lower part back together and make sure there is no coffee powder in the thread. Heat the espresso maker on the hob. When the water boils, the espresso rises into the top part as the steam develops, and it makes a bubbling noise. Once the espresso has run through completely, immediately remove the espresso maker from the hob. Serve in pre-warmed espresso cups and enjoy.
Product Safety Information
The espresso maker complies with the European standard EN 13248:2002. To prevent accidents or malfunctions, observe all the safety information and read all the instructions before using the espresso maker for the first time. Keep children away from the espresso maker while it is in use, and make sure the steam exits on the side facing away from you. Only use the espresso maker for the intended purpose, and before heating it, make sure the espresso maker is closed tightly. Do not screw the espresso maker apart until you have removed it from the heat source and it has completely cooled down.
Do not touch hot surfaces, and use the handles on the jug and lid. Never heat the espresso maker without water in the lower part. If you fill water directly into the lower part, you must make sure the water level is below the safety valve. Only use original spare parts from the manufacturer.
