Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the first time. In addition, please carefully refer to the operating instructions and the safety advice below. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated field of application. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Care and use
-
Save energy! To avoid heat loss, choose a hotplate with a diameter that matches the diameter of the pan.
-
Effective bottom diameter approx.:
– 367881_2101 – Ø 174 mm
– 367882_2101 – Ø 200 mm -
Remove all labels from the product prior to use and rinse with clean water.
-
Before using the pan for the first time, boil it out with water 2 to 3 times to completely remove all manufacturing residues.
-
Lightly grease the pan.
-
Do not overheat the pan while empty or filled to prevent the non-stick effect from weakening due to damage to the coating.
-
Select the correct cooking plate for the diameter of your pan to avoid heat loss.
-
Never add salt or brine into the empty preheated product as this could lead to corrosion. However, a reduction in product performance is not likely.
-
Risk of overheating! When fat-free food comes in contact with nonoiled, overheated pans, slight discolorations of the non-stick coating might occur due to the burning of proteins. Such discolorations are signs of wear and do not affect the quality of the coating and its fitness for use.
-
Heat up the food at a high/medium heat setting and then let it cook at a lower heat setting until ready.
-
Never leave the pan unsupervised while the grease is warming: Overheated grease can ignite. Never attempt to extinguish grease fires with water! Smother the flames with a lid or a dense wool blanket.
-
Only use plastic or wooden kitchen utensils to prevent damaging the non-stick coating. Do not cut food directly in the pan.
-
Do not add dripping wet meat to the pan. Grease splatting onto a glowing hob can easily cause a fire.
-
The handle may heat during cooking. Use a pot holder or grill gloves for your protection.
-
The pan is suitable for gas, electric, glass ceramic, induction, and halogen cooker hobs.
-
Note for induction hobs: A noise may occur under certain conditions, resulting from the electromagnetic properties of the heat source and the product. This is totally normal and does not imply that your induction hob or your cookware is damaged. Place the product in the middle of the induction hotplate. ATTENTION! High heating-up rate! Do not overheat cookware when preheating. The room must be aired out well, in the event cookware overheats. In order for the product to function properly, please always place it on the cooktop corresponding to the effective base diameter stated in this manual.
-
High temperatures may discolor the exterior of the product. This does not indicate faulty material, nor does it impair the product’s quality or function.
-
Never hold the hot product under cold running water. The underside of the product may be damaged or fall off.
-
The item is suitable for keeping dishes warm inside the oven.
-
This pan is suitable for dishwashers.
-
Handwash with hot water and common washing-up liquid. Avoid using sharp or pointy objects or brushes to avoid damaging the material.
-
Do not clean with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
-
Frequently cleaning of the pan with harsh cleaners may damage it and can cause discoloration.
-
ATTENTION! RISK OF SCRATCHES! Do not move the cookware back and forth on glass-ceramic hobs! We recommend before cooking to wipe briefly the surface of the hob and the cookware bottom with a clean, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfiber) to reduce the risk of scratches.
-
Food safe: This pan does not affect the taste or odor of prepared foods.
-
Never use pans if the handles are loose. Retighten the screw joint of the handles if necessary.
-
In time, the minerals in the water could give rise to stains or discolorations on the product. You can get rid of them by rubbing half a lemon over them. More Stubborn stains can be removed with a mixture of nine parts water to one part vinegar essence.
