Auto-Rewindable Wall-Mounted Reel with Hose

Important Safeguards

Read these instructions carefully and keep them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using the product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of injury including the following:

• Children may not play with or near the product.
• Hold the hose tightly with your hand when rewinding it back onto its reel. Be aware that the hose might roll up fast and in an uncontrolled manner if not guided properly.
• Do not lean on the assembled product. bd Do not direct the water towards electrical equipment, people or animals.
• Do not use or drag the hase on rough concrete and sharp edges to prevent damage.
• Lay the hose so that it does not constitute a tripping risk.
• The mounting surface selected must be capable of supporting the full weight of the product.
• Take care not to drill into any pipes or power cables beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation.
• The product may only be used with fresh water. Do not use it with chemicals or other liquids.

IMPORTANT, RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: READ CAREFULLY.
Before First Use

• Check for transport damage.

  Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away from children – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

Operation

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning

• Clean the product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.

Maintenance

• Check the components regularly to make sure all joints are tightened and free of leaks.
• Drain the hose completely before storage. Keep the hose drained during winter in order to prevent the hose from freezing.
• Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets.

Changing the inlet hose:

The above illustration shows the disassembly of the inlet hose in 3 steps.
Assemble the new inlet hose in reverse order.
NOTICE | Open the cover using a small slot screwdriver.

Troubleshooting

The hose does not retract;
Possible cause: The hose has previously been pulled out to the limit.

1. Open the upper lid.
2. Use one hand (on the outside of the product) to help guide the hose.
3. Use your other hand to shortly turn the reel (inside the product) quickly in the pull-out direction. This action deactivates the brake.
4. Let the hose roll up.
5. Close the lid.
   The hose does not roll up completely: Possible cause: The spring is fatiqued.

Spring tensioning, step 1:

CAUTION
Risk of injury! Once engaged, hold the tensioning tool (F) firmly in place.
If tool (F) is removed without the last 2 screws in place, the tensioning mechanism will spring back and can cause personal injury or damage the product. If necessary, call a second person for help.

1. Remove the cover using a flat-head screwdriver.
2. Loosen the first 3 screws.
3. Secure the tensioning mechanism with the tensioning tool (F). Hold the center with the tool (F) all the time.
4. Loosen the remaining 2 screws
5. Adjust the tension in a clockwise direction.
6. Fix all the loosened screws and remove the tensioning tool (F).
7. Refit the cover.

Mounting

NOTICE The mounting height should be at least 3 ft (1 metre) from the ground.

Connect the inlet hose to the tap:

The connection to the tap must be secured tightly to avoid leaking water.
NOTICE
The inlet hose can be exchanged for a longer one, if needed (see chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”).
