Power Adapter

Charging the Headset

Before you can use your headset, you must charge it. Plug the AC Adapter into the base and a wall outlet. Place the headset in the base to charge it; the red LED will be on. The LED will switch to green once charging is complete. If you take the headset off the base it will go into stand-by mode. If no pairing is active, the headset will shut down to preserve the charge in the battery.

Setup

Pairing with a Bluetooth® Device
First, make sure that Your device, smart phone or Mac/PC, has Bluetooth® functionality. Activate the Bluetooth® function on your device.

Turn on your headset

  1. Press the Multi-Function button for at least 6 seconds (for location of the button, see item 5 on the diagram opposite). The LED (item 4) will alternately flash red and blue, which indicates the headset is in pairing mode.

  2. On your device, search for Bluetooth® devices. You should see ZūMBT when you select Discover or Add on your device. Select ZūMBT to begin pairing.
    You may need to enter the PIN code “0000” if your device requests it.

  3. When the pairing is successful, the LED will turn solid blue and the ZūMBT™ icon will show on your device. You can make calls, listen to music, or use it for Skype™. You should not have to pair again: you can reconnect by pressing the icon.

  4. If pairing did not succeed, turn the headset OFF, and repeat steps 1–3.

  5. Zūm Maestro BT™ can pair with 2 devices simultaneously. To begin, turn off the Bluetooth® function on your first device.
    • Power the headset OFF.
    • Repeat steps 1-3 on the second device.
    • When pairing is successful, turn on the Bluetooth® function on your first device. You are now paired to 2 devices.

  6. If no device is paired within 120 seconds of beginning pairing mode, the headset will shut down to save power.

Using the Headset

Answering a Call
After you have successfully paired the headset with your device, the headset will ring when there is an incoming call. Press the Multifunction Button (item 5 on the image on page iii) to answer it.
Ending a Call
Press the Multifunction Button again to end a call.
Microphone Mute
During a call, a short press of the Mute Button (item 1 on page iii) will mute the Microphone. Another short press of the Mute Button will turn the Microphone back on.
Volume Adjustment
A short click of the Volume Down button (item 6 on page iii) will reduce the volume level in your headset, while a short click of the Volume Up button (item 2 on page i) will increase the volume in your headset.

Zūm Maestro BT™ Base Features

The Zūm Maestro BT™ base has a USB port that can be used to charge your smart phone. You can also connect to your Mac/PC via USB for such apps as Skype if you don’t want to use the Bluetooth® function.

Spracht® warrants its products against defects or malfunctions in material and workmanship under normal use and service, with the exceptions stated below. In order to keep this warranty in effect, the product must have been handled and used as prescribed in the instructions accompanying the product.
