Product Usage Instructions

  1. Feed the wire through the stem (Part L) and twist tightly onto the fixture assembly (Part N). Add additional stems as needed to achieve the desired hanging height.
  2. Attach the nipple (Part G) onto the stem (Part L), then insert the check ring (Part H) onto the nipple (Part G). Attach the canopy (Part I) on top of the stem (Part L) and secure using hex nuts (Part K) and tooth washer (Part J).
  3. Pull the wire out from the junction box and install the mounting plate (Part A) onto the junction box using the mounting screws (Part B). Thread the mounting nipple (Part C) onto the mounting plate (Part A) and adjust its threads so that 1/36 of threads extend beyond the canopy (Part I). Secure using mounting hex nuts (Part D).
  4. Trim off the excess wire to a minimum of 6 inches beyond the stem (Part L) and strip each wire 8/5 inches.
  5. Attach the ground wire (green) to the ground inside the outlet box (generally green or bare copper wire) or the ground screw (Part E) on the mounting plate (Part A). Never connect ground wire to hot wire.
  6. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (wire nut) (Part F). Starting 1 inch below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape to seal the end of the fastener. Make sure there are no exposed wires or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
  7. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (generally black) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the joined wires same as in the previous step. Never reverse hot and neutral wires.
  8. Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the canopy (Part I) up to the ceiling and secure with the cap nut (Part M).
  9. Screw the bulb (Part O) into the socket of the fixture assembly (Part N). Do not exceed the recommended wattage of 60 watts for Type B lamp (G16.5 recommended).
  10. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
