MIMI H711809 Installation Instructions

Hudson Valley Lighting Group offers a wide range of high-quality lighting fixtures, including the MIMI H711809 model. This installation guide will provide you with detailed instructions on how to properly install and use your fixture.

Fixture Installation

  1. Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). Ensure that the junction box is securely mounted to the structure of the building. This fixture is designed to be mounted on standard round or octagon junction boxes.
  2. Open the end link on the CHAIN (I) and attach it to the loop on the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J). Hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J) on the CHAIN (I) at your desired height and remove any excess chain.
  3. Feed the wire through the CHAIN (I) , SCREW COLLAR (G) , CANOPY (H) , SCREW COLLAR LOOP (F) , NIPPLE (E) , and MOUNTING PLATE (A). Screw the NIPPLE (E) onto the MOUNTING PLATE (A).
  4. Open the top link on the CHAIN (I) and hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J) to the SCREW COLLAR LOOP (F).
  5. Cut off any excess wire and strip the insulation off the end of the leads.
  6. Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the junction box (generally green or bare copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NEVER CONNECT THE GROUND WIRE TO THE HOT WIRE, as failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
  7. Connect the fixture lead(s) to the neutral (generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (D). Starting 1 inch below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape to ensure there are no exposed wires or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
  8. Connect the smooth fixture leads to the hot (generally black) wire in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires as done in the previous step. NEVER REVERSE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES, as failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
  9. Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the CANOPY (H) up to the ceiling and secure it with the RING (G).
  10. Screw the BULB (K) into the SOCKET of the fixture. This fixture is rated for an 8-watt Type G16.5 lamp. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE.
  11. Hang the GLASS (L) on the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J) of the fixture.
  12. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
