Hardware Kit
Product Information
- The Triple Bypass Barn Door Hardware is a set of hardware components designed to install and operate bypass barn doors. The hardware includes rollers, hangers, bolts, nuts, washers, anti-jump pads, floor guides, door stoppers, hex wrenches, brackets, spacer connectors, lag bolts, junction plates, flat tracks, and track connectors. The hardware is provided for safety reasons and includes anti-jump systems to prevent doors from falling off the track while in use.
- The hardware is available in different lengths, ranging from 4ft to 20ft. Each length comes with a specific quantity of hardware components. It is important to check the hardware checklist to ensure you have the correct quantity of each component before installation.
- The hangers/rollers are available in two types: straight and T-shape. The T-shape hanger/roller set includes screws, anti-jump pads, floor guides, door stoppers, and hex wrenches.
- The Triple Bypass Bracket Set includes spacer connectors, long lag bolts, junction plates, flat tracks, short lag bolts, track connectors, and brackets. The quantity of bracket sets required depends on the length of the flat track.
- The recommended door thickness is 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches. If the studs do not line up with the track or if there is a door trim that adds to the door thickness, it is suggested to use a header board.
- The hardware has a total weight capacity of 220lbs. When all the studs are attached to the track and installed properly, the weight capacity may increase up to a maximum of 300lbs for all doors combined.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, wear appropriate safety gear to prevent injuries. Ensure power tools are used professionally to avoid serious damage.
- Pick an area free of hazardous conditions for the installation.
- Ensure all hardware is securely tightened onto the door before placing it on the track to prevent unexpected injuries.
- Install the track on studs to ensure the track and doors are secure.
- Refer to the hardware checklist to ensure you have the correct quantity of each component before installation.
- For straight hangers/rollers:
- Draw a horizontal line using the formula (1/2 + Door Height + 1 1/2). This line will be used to line up horizontally with the center of the track.
- Find all the studs and lay the track onto the wall, ensuring the previously drawn line lines up horizontally with the center of the track and each hole is on a stud location. Mark the center of the hole positions.
- If the studs do not line up with the track, add a header board with a height of at least 12 and a thickness of 1.
- For T-shape hangers/rollers, follow steps 5 and 6 for straight hangers/rollers, but use the provided screws for installation.

TYPE OF HANGERS
Please follow the measurement stated below, measuring from the top of the door
to the center of the first hole.
PRE-INSTALL NOTICE (Please Read!)
DOOR THICKNESS
Make sure the door you use is within the thickness of 1-3/8” ~ 1-3/4”. If you
door is thicker than this range you will have to add a header board according
to how much thicker it is to 1-3/4”. Let’s say your door is 2” then that is
1/4” more than 1-3/4”. Then header board thickness should be 1/4” or more. The
thicker you go the more gap you create between the inner door to the wall. The
maximum thickness this hardware kit can go is 2-1/2”. We suggest 2” to be in a
safe range. Second to consider is getting different size hex bolts for the
straight design rollers since the one provided in the box may only fit the
range above. You can search “hex bolt” on our website and select the size and
color according to the size chart in the description of the hex bolt.
HEADER BOARD
Header is suggested when the studs do not line up with the track. It is also
suggested if you have a door trim and if the door thickness and the door trim
added up to be more than 1-3/4”.
DRILL BIT SIZES DOOR WEIGHT
This hardware total weight capacity is 220lbs. If all the studs are attached
to the track and installed properly the weight capacity may go up to 300lbs
maximum in total for all doors combined.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
- Draw a horizontal line using the following formula (1/2”+Door Height+1 1/2”). This line will be used to line up horizontally to the center of the track.
- Reminder: Make sure your floor is level. If no please measure the distance from the highs point of your floor .
STEP 2
- Find all the studs and then lay your track onto the wall. Make sure the line you drew previously lines up horizontally to the center of the track and each hole is on the studs location. Then mark the center of the holes position.
- Make sure to add a header board if the studs do not line up on the track. Header board height should be 12” and the thickness 1” at least.
STEP 3
- Place door stoppers to desired stopping location before mounting brackets. Tighten with Hex Wrench
- Mount C back bracket on the one end of the track to the marked wall. Make su he bracket is leveled before mounting and .A B
- Drilling pilot holes before mounting would provide easier mounting.
- Mount all brackets according to the order on the diagram. This allows you to mount freely after bracket 1 and 2 is mounted.
STEP 4
Mount the second and third track on all the outer bracket like the diagram
shown above.
Place door stoppers to desired stopping location before mounting brackets. Tighten with Hex Wrench.
STEP 5
Combine the brackets with the bracket connectors loosely in the order starting
first on both ends of the 1track and , 2 then connect all the ones in between
, , and, so on if you have3 4 5 a longer track. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BRACKET
CONNECTORS
The nuts given are a lock nut. Once the nut is tighten it may not be taken
out. Door gap adjustments are needed on Step 10.
STEP 6
Route a slot that is 1/4” wide and 13/16” deep at the bottom of the door for
all three doors. If you do not want to open a slot underneath your doors, we
provided a 2-in-1 floor guide which will show 2 mounting ways on step 11. If
you would like to purchase special floor guides not provided you can look up
“floor guides” at the top left search bar of our website to see all the types
of floor guides we sell.
STEP 7
- Install the anti-jump pads on top of the door as shown on the picture, it is suggested to mount them right below the track. Two is provided for each door. One on each end.
- Drill the holes for the hanger according to the dimension given in the picture. The distance between the top edge of the door and the center of the upper hole is 1 5/8”. The distance between the side edge of the door and the hanger is up to your choice. Typically around 1” to 2”. Next, install the hex bolts and acorn nuts as shown in the picture.
- Please follow the diagram above on how the hex bolt, washers and nut should be installed on the door and hangers. Do not install them any other way since it may interfere with the function of the sliding system.
STEP 8
- Install the anti-jump pads on top of the door as shown on the picture, it is suggested to mount them right below the track. Two is provided for each door. One on each end.
- Drill the pilot holes for the t-shape hanger according to the dimension given in the picture. The distance between the two holes of the rollers is 4”. The distance between the roller to the edge of the door is up to your choice but we usually recommend 1” or more.
STEP 9
To mount your doors on to the track, you will have to lift your door at a
slight angle and rest both wheel grooves onto the top of the track carefully.
Or you can slide the doors from the side.
STEP 10
Pull out all the brackets and adjust accordingly to the gap you desire between
the middle door and the inner door. Making sure the bolts do not hit the door.
STEP 11
For the floor guides of Triple bypass hardware’s we recommend to install
the regular floor guide in your own location preference depending on how you
want your door to slide. Here below is a diagram of the 2 ways you can use the
given floor guide.
If you are looking for different floor guides please check out our website. Type in “Floor Guide” in the search bar of our website and you will be able to find a few types.
