THUREN FABRICATION 2013-2023 Radius Arm Front Coils

Product Information

The Thuren Fabrication radius arm front coils are designed as a replacement for OEM coils in trucks. These coils are taller than stock units and provide improved performance. The coils have theThuren logo, which should be facing outward during installation. They do not require lubrication for installation and may have a slight bow after installation, which is normal. The product comes with isolator options, including the MOPAR Part No 05168566AB and the improved isolator MOPAR Part No 68268825AA.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before disassembling, jack up your truck higher than anticipated to remove the OEM coils.
  2. Remove the front coils.
  3. Ensure that one of the Thuren logos is facing outward during installation.
  4. Do not use lubrication to install the coil to prevent slipping out of the bucket.
  5. After installation, check all hoses and wiring at full droop for proper slack.
  6. Form hard brake lines if necessary to obtain slack at full droop.
  7. Be careful when installing brake line brackets to avoid stripping the threads on the thin metal.
  8. Once the truck is back on the ground at ride height and on level ground, loosen and re-torque track bar bolts to ensure proper bushing alignment. Torque track bar bolts to 215 Foot Pounds.
  9. If needed, replace the isolator (MOPAR Part No 05168566AB) with the improved isolator (MOPAR Part No 68268825AA) for better performance.
  10. Refer to the website for alignment information and specifications.

These instructions are applicable to the following Trucks:

  • 2014+ Ram 2500
  • 2013+ Ram 3500
  • 2014+ Power Wagon

Available Part Numbers:

  • (14ULRFC-1H2)
  • (14ULRFC-2H3)
  • (RAFC25-13UP)

Warning: When jacking up your truck, be sure to go higher than anticipated to remove the OEM coils. Thuren coils are taller than stock units and will require extra space to be installed.

Pre-Disassembly

  • Ensure Emergency brake is on, truck is in gear, and wheels are chocked.
  • Jack up truck.
  • Install jack stands underneath frame for support.

Coil Removal

  • Unbolt the Front Shocks
  • Unbolt Sway Bar End Links
  • Disconnect Track Bar at the frame side
  • Disconnect Brake Line Brackets on each side of the axle (2 Bolts)
  • Disconnect the the Axle Breather (if needed for axle drop)
  • Disconnect the Axle Disconnect wiring harness (if needed for axle drop)

Remove Front Coils

At this point you should have enough axle droop that allows the front coils to be removed with ease, when you lower the axle.

  • When installing your new coils, ensure the “THUREN” logo is right side up.
  • Line up coils with the isolator on top of the coil.

Note: One of the thuren logos should be facing outward. Do not use lubrication to install the coil. This could cause the coil to slip out of the Bucket. The coil could have a slight bow to it after install, this is normal.

Reassembly

  • Reassemble Track Bar
  • Reassemble Sway Bar End Links
  • Install Shocks
  • Install Brake Line Brackets onto axle

After install but before coming off jacks, check all hoses and wiring at full droop for proper amount of slack. It may be necessary to form hard brake lines coming from your axle to obtain slack at full droop. The brake line brackets thread into a very thin piece of metal, be sure not to strip the threads when installing bracket hardware.

Once your truck is back on the ground at ride height and on level ground, loosen and re-torque your track bar bolts to ensure your track bar bushings are not in a bind. Torque track bar bolts to 215 Foot Pounds

Pro-tip: If your truck is not already equipped, we recommend replacing your isolator (MOPAR Part No 05168566AB) with the improved isolator (MOPAR Part No 68268825AA). The “AA” version has a better contact patch and is made of a harder durometer material. This is not mandatory, but a nice upgrade if applicable.
