Sway bar Instructions
Thuren Fabrication
1998.5 – 2002 sway bar
These instructions are applicable to the following Trucks:
- 1998.5 – 2002 Ram 2500
- 1999 – 2002 Ram 3500
Applicable Part Numbers:
- (TF-FSWBK-9802) 1998.5 – 2002 0” – 4” Lift (6.75“ Links)
- (TF-FSWBK-9802-4UPLIFT) 1998.5 – 2002 4” – 8” Lift (9.25” Links)

Remove Stock/Previous Sway Bar
• Disconnect Sway Bar Links from Axle and Sway Bar
• Remove hardware from Sway Bar mount on frame.
• Remove Sway Bar from truck
1998.5 – 2002 Sway Bars will come with (2) collars to keep the sway bar centered between frame mounts and the frame, keeping the Sway Bar from moving side to side.

1998.5 – 2002 mounting configuration can vary. Mounting the end links as vertical as possible is the end goal at ride height. -
Installing Sway Bar
• Install Sway Bar with “THUREN” sticker facing up
• Lift Sway Bar into position and hand tighten frame mount hardware
• Torque frame mount hardware to 45 Ft/Lbs -
Install End Links
• Ensure the Sway Bar End Links Sleeve Flange is against the Sway Bar and Axle mounting surface.
• install Sway Bar End Links.
• Torque End Link Hardware to 100 Ft/Lbs -
Installing Collars
• Collars should be installed after Sway bar and End Links have been installed.
• Collars can be mounted on the inside of the frame mounts or the outside of the frame mounts. whichever space allows.
