Operation on power (12v or 220-240v)

  • Never use different energy sources at the same time.
  • Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage displayed on the device.
  • If the electrical specifications are correct, plug the electrical safety plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Turn thermostat to “MAX”. The cooling process only becomes apparent after about an hour (icing on evaporator).
  • Then set the thermostat to the desired position.
  • Turn the thermostat to 0 to switch the appliance off. The plug can then be removed from the power supply

Operation on gas

  • Never use different energy sources at the same time.
  • Familiarize yourself with the appliance before connecting it to the gas cylinder.
  • When operating on gas, the cool box may only be used outdoors and in well-ventilated areas. Operation of the gas cooler is prohibited in road vehicles, on boats and in closed areas.
  • The appliance must be in the open air (but not in the rain) when used with gas. This means that it can also be used under the canopy of a tent, adequately ventilated, or on a terrace in an apartment and a garden.
  • The recommended gas supply pressure is stated on the device in mbar. The device does not operate at any other pressure.

Storage of gas cylinder

  • Store the gas cylinder in a cool, dry and ventilated area, protected from sunlight. The gas cylinder must not be exposed to temperatures higher than 50 degrees.

Connection of the cool box to the gas cylinder

  • Warning: Always stay away from any kind of ignition during this action. Do not smoke.
  • Connect the cool box in the following way: Gas cylinder> pressure regulator> appliance
  • The cool box works on propane / butane gas G30.G31 and is suitable for connection with a propane hose that conforms to EN559 or EN1763. Connect the gas hose to the connecting piece of the appliance using a screw connection. It is important to follow the installation and connection instructions to connect the appliance. Avoid twisting and bending the hose. Bends in the gas hose must have a radius of more than 40 mm. The length of the hose should not exceed 1.50m. Before installation, check that the operating pressure of the gas pressure regulator corresponds to the operating pressure of the appliance.
  • Use soap water or gas leak spray to check connections for leaks. It is forbidden to check for leaks with a flame.
  • Do not smoke: risk of explosion and burns.
  • If you change the gas bottle and / or disconnect the hose, it is mandatory to close the gas bottle valve.
  • Replace the hose if it is damaged or becomes porous and always before the expiration date printed on the side.

Throttle position

  • This arrangement includes an adjustable appliance with an enclosed protection and a burner with an electric igniter.
  • The adjustable device can be set in 3 different positions:
  • Max Maximum cooling
  • Min Minimum cooling
  • 0 off Ignition position / burner gas supply closed
  • The protection automatically maintains the gas supply to the burner as long as it burns. It automatically turns off the supply when the flame goes out.

Operation of the gas cooler

  • Open the valve of the gas cylinder. Press and hold the adjust button. Then turn the knob counterclockwise to Max.
  • If the appliance has not been lit for a long time or if the gas cylinder has been changed, there may be air in the pipe. Therefore, the Ignition may fail. Check if the pilot is lit by looking through the hole at the top of the aircraft. If the appliance does not light up, try again after 10 seconds.
  • Always set the thermostat to “MAX” for the first hour. Then set the thermostat to the desired position.
  • If the outside temperature is low, set the adjustable appliance to MIN after a sufficiently long cooling down period in MAX period.
  • Turn the thermostat to 0 and shut off the gas cylinder or the pressure regulator to switch off the appliance.

Maintenance

  • For optimal use, the cool box must be defrosted regularly. Unplug it and remove all food. If necessary, use a cloth with warm water.
After defrosting, absorb all water with a dry cloth and clean the inside. Are you not using the device for a long time? Then leave the lid slightly open to avoid an unpleasant odor.

  • Clean the device regularly with warm water, if necessary with a cleaning agent.

  • Never use a corrosive product. Dry the cleaned surfaces with a soft cloth.

  • All repairs, especially those of the cooling unit or the gas burner system, must be carried out by a qualified technician.
