FIRMWARE UPGRADE UTILITY CA 6131 – CA 6133 – MX 535

CA 6131 Firmware Upgrade Utility

Please note that the installation procedure of the CA 6131 / CA 6133 / MX 535 firmware upgrade utility does automatically install the device driver for your CA 6131 / CA 6133 / MX 535 installation tester.
Please follow the procedure presented hereafter to ensure a successful installation.
You must run the both installation program and utility under the administrator account.

OBTAINING THE LATEST RELEASE OF THE UPGRADE UTILITY

The latest release of the upgrade utility is available on the Chauvin Arnoux website : http://www.chauvin-arnoux.com

To obtain it, please:

• Enter your product name in the search bar (upper right section of your screen)
• Go on the product page
• Then click on “Support”
• Then click on “Firmware for CA6131, CA6133 and MX535”
• Then click on “Loader ca6131-6133-mx535 v1.07.exe” in order to download the latest release of the upgrade utility installation program.

Connect your product to the PC using a micro-USB cable. To connect your device to the PC :

INSTALLING THE UPGRADE UTILITY ON YOUR PC HARD-DISK

“Loader ca6131-6133-mx535 v1.07.exe” is the installation program of the upgrade utility.
Once the “Loader ca6131-6133-mx535 v1.07.exe” has been loaded on your computer, please doubleclick on the corresponding icon (file explorer) in order to proceed to the utility installation.
When starting, a first pop-up appears at computer screen :

Let the unzip job finish then click on the “Next >” icon as shown below : The following window appears. You may change the destination folder as you want, using the “Browse” button.

Then, wait until the installation bar is completeWhen the installation bar is complete, click on “Finish” The CA 6133 / CA 6133 / MX 535 firmware upgrade utility is ready to use and a new file “LoaderCA6131-MX535” has been added on the destination directory chosen in the previous step.

Then, click on “loaderCA6131-MX535.exe”

USING THE INTERNAL FIRMWARE UPGRADE UTILITY

Then, choose the language. Then, follow these instructions below by pressing the power button and MEM (or P) simultaneously.

Once the internal firmware upgrade utility has been installed on your computer, you may proceed to upgrade the internal firmware on your CA 6131 / CA 6133 / MX 535 instrument by simply clicking on “Go” button.
After a few seconds (depending on the PC you use), the main window appears as follows :When the loader displays “Operation successful”, this means that your firmware update has worked and your product is now up to date.
