CRUX CS-CR41 Wiring Interface
Product Information
The CS-CR41 is a radio replacement product with SWC (Steering Wheel Control)
retention designed for CHRYSLER, DODGE, and JEEP vehicles. It allows you to
replace your factory radio with an aftermarket radio while retaining the
functionality of your steering wheel controls.

Installation Diagram
The CS-CR41 includes two harnesses for an older and new model vehicle. Only
one of the harness connectors will match the plug-in in your vehicle. Please
refer to the installation diagrams provided in the user manual for each
harness.
DIP Switch Settings
Please refer to the DIP switch settings section in the user manual for
specific settings based on your aftermarket radio brand. Check the aftermarket
radio’s manual to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.
Vehicle Applications
The CS-CR41 is compatible with the following vehicles:
- CHRYSLER: 2007-2009 Aspen, 2007-2010 Sebring
- DODGE: 2006-2012 Caliber, 2006-2010 Charger, 2009-2016 Grand Caravan
- JEEP: 2007-2017 Patriot, 2007-2017 Wrangler
- MITSUBISHI: 2009-2010 Journey
Product Usage Instructions
- Identify the appropriate harness connector for your vehicle.
- Connect the aftermarket radio to the factory harness using the provided harnesses.
- If your vehicle is equipped with Steering Wheel Controls, use the SWC cables to connect the CS-CR41 module to the aftermarket radio.
- Choose either Option A or Option B based on your radio’s requirements.
- Refer to the speaker wire connections diagram on page 2 of the user manual for proper speaker wire connections.
- If you have an amplified system, ensure that the rear CS-CR41 speakers are connected to the aftermarket radio front speakers to avoid Bluetooth inaudibility issues.
- Set the DIP switches on the CS-CR41 module according to the DIP Switch settings provided in the user manual, based on your aftermarket radio brand.
- If necessary, program the SWC buttons on your aftermarket radio according to its manual.
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

NOTES
- The Front and Rear fading are NON-Adjustable on amplified systems.
- Also supports radio replacement in vehicles with 4.3″ and 8.4″ color screens.
- Does not retain Uconnect.
- If the vehicle is not equipped with Steering Wheel Controls use part# SOOCR-26

INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
The CS-CR41 includes 2 harnesses for older and new model vehicles. Only 1 of the harness connectors will match the plug in your vehicle. See the Installation diagrams below for each harness.

Does not supply a Reverse Trigger on Manual Transmissions. The reverse trigger wire from the aftermarket radio and/or camera power must be connected to the factory reverse light wire instead
Speaker wire connections
LED LED MODU~E FEEDBACK LIGHT
- Solkl blue CAN recognized
- Flashing blue CAN not recognize
- Solid red Module providing 12VACC
- Red off 12VACCOFF
Wire the audio filter using the connection chart below. Plug the 4-pin Molex plug found on the 1st and 2nd generation harnesses to the corresponding 4-pin Molex socket on the audio filter. {Amplified or Non-Amplified) Amplied vehicle troubleshooting: Bluetooth may be inaudible when installing select aftermarket radios. Therefore hook the rear CS-CR41 speakers to the aftermarket radio front speakers

AFTERMARKET RADIO DIP SWITCH SETTINGS
NOTE: For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Power Acoustik,
Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, check the aftermarket radio’s manual
to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.
4-PIN SWC CABLE
- Use the proper 3.SMM to 4-Pin SWC cable for the aftermarket radio you are using.
- OPTION A is used for ALPINE, CLARION, JVC, and KENWOOD units (Blue/Yellow wire is attached)
- OPTION Bis used for ATOTO, BLAUPUNKT, BOSS, DUAL, FAHRENHEIT, JENSEN, POWER ACOUSTIK, PIONEER, SONY, SOUNDSTREAM, and Most Off-Brand Radios.
NOTE: Cap or insulate the 3.5mm plug or Blue/Yellow wire if not being
used. For aftermarket radios that have wires instead of a 3.5mm plug for SWC
connection, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC
Cable (option B) and connect the SWC wires as follows: Note that there are
some radios that only have SWCl and SWC2, in this case, “shield” does not need
to be connected.
