Installation Instructions

1. Connect the included harness according to the Installation Diagram provided.
2. Plug in the 3.5MM SWC cable to the 4-pin port on the module.
3. Set DIP switches based on the Aftermarket Radio and Subaru SWC settings provided.
4. Connect all audio inputs and outputs as per the diagram.
5. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated properly.

DIP Switch Settings

• Refer to the provided DIP switch settings for different radio brands and Subaru SWC settings.
• Note that some radios may require the programming of SWC buttons.

Vehicle Applications

This product is compatible with Subaru vehicles from various model years, including but not limited to Ascent, Crosstrek, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, and WRX / STI. Please check compatibility for specific years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I retain the factory backup camera with this product?

A: Plug the 5-pin OEM camera connector into the designated port on the module. If your factory radio does not have a 5-pin camera connector, connect the provided connectors to retain the factory backup camera.

Q: What do I do if the audio is not working after installation?

A: Disconnect the 6-pin speaker plug from the antenna adaptor included in the kit. Ensure all audio connections are made correctly as per the installation diagram.

INSTALLATION DIAGRAM

STARLINK RETENTION

• To retain Starlink, separate the Starlink module from the radio and reconnect the harness and antenna connectors to the module.
• Stuff the Starlink module back into the dash and secure it with zip ties or tape to prevent it from rattling.
• NOTE: The front speaker audio will be lost if the StarLink module is removed from the system.

NOTE: For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, check the aftermarket radio’s manual to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.

3.5MM SWC CABLE

• Plug in the 3.5MM to 4-Pin SWC cable to the SWC module and the 3.5mm plug to the aftermarket radio SWC port.
• NOTE: Insulate the Blue/Yellow wire or 3.5mm plug if not being used.
• For aftermarket radios that have wires for SWC connections, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC Cable and connect the SWC wires as follows:
• Note that there are some radios that only have SWC1 and SWC2, in this case, “shield” does not need to be connected.
• RED to SWC Key 1
• WHITE to SWC Key 2
• SHIELD to SWC Ground

DIP switch settings for Pioneer receivers

• The location of the switch may vary on the interface (Corner or Middle).
• Please note that interfaces with DIP at the end of the LOT# are installed with the switch.
• Set the DIP switch to the “3V3” position for support of the NEW generation Pioneer steering wheel button control.
• Set the DIP switch to the “5V” position for support of OLD generation Pioneer steering wheel button control.
