1. Introduction

The Telis 6 Chronis RTS is a remote control that allows you to control up to 6 applications or groups of applications equipped with Somfy Radio Technology (RTS).
The Telis 6 Chronis RTS can be used in 2 ways: either in manual mode or in automatic mode.

Manual mode allows you to control home applications in groups or individually, depending on their association with the 6 groups of the remote control, called “channels”. The channels, numbered 1 to 6, can be personalized by giving them a name.

Automatic mode allows you to automatically control the applications associated with the remote control channels, after having created the schedules for the week, day by day, called “automatic orders”. Up to 6 automatic orders can be saved per day of the week.

5. Commissioning

It is recommended to program each motor in advance from an individual RTS control point such as Telis 1 RTS and to adjust the limit switches of each motor before using the Telis 6 Chronis RTS. However, the Telis 6 Chronis RTS can be used like any RTS remote control for commissioning the motors (adjusting the limit switches, etc.).

The instructions only describe commissioning using an individual RTS control point of the Telis 1 RTS type. For commissioning using any other RTS control point, refer to the corresponding instructions.

After 2 minutes of inactivity, the Telis 6 Chronis RTS screen turns off automatically. When the screen is off, first press any key to turn it on.

During adjustments, at any time, pressing and holding the selection key () returns you to use mode (manual or automatic). Only validated settings are saved.

5.1. Installing the batteries

– Open the hood at the back of the Telis 6 Chronis RTS.
– Insert the 2 AAA (LR3) type batteries, respecting the polarity indicated.
– Replace the rear cover on the Telis 6 Chronis RTS.
– Activate the Telis 6 Chronis RTS by pressing any key.

  • Never use rechargeable batteries.
  • Replace the batteries when the symbol ( ) appears on the screen.
  • If there is no power for a prolonged period (batteries worn out or removed), you will need to re-adjust the general parameters of the remote control. However, the programming of automatic orders is saved.

5.2. Adjusting general remote control settings

When the batteries are first inserted, the “Remote control setting” mode is activated directly: “SET” (Setting) and “YEAR” (Year) are displayed on the screen, the year flashes (it is the first parameter to adjust).

After a prolonged absence of power, when switching to automatic mode, the “Remote control setting” mode is also activated directly.

At each step, the parameter to be adjusted flashes.

  • – To modify the parameter, press the navigation keys (or) (pressing and holding scrolls the characters more quickly).
  • – To save the parameter and move to the next parameter, briefly press the selection key ().
  • – At any time, the “Remote control setting” mode can be deactivated by pressing and holding the selection button (). Only validated settings are saved.

The parameters appear in the following order: 1) The current year “YEAR”.

  1. The number of the current month “MONTH”.
