BEGA 50263 Wall Luminaire
Product Information
This product is a luminaire made of mouth-blown opal glass with a matte finish. It has a weight of 1.5 kg and contains LED modules for mains voltage 220-230 V at 50/60 Hz. The luminaire is designed to provide a temporary thermal shutdown to protect temperature-sensitive components. It is energy- efficient and falls under energy efficiency class F. The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. However, for additional protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components. The lamp used in this luminaire has a connected wattage of 20 W and a rated temperature of 50 263 K3. The color temperature of the LED module is 3000 K, with a color rendering index (Ra) greater than 90. The module’s luminous flux is 1880 lm, and the luminaire’s luminous flux is 1609 lm. Product Usage Instructions
- Installation:
- LEDs are high-quality electronic components. Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
- Lead the main supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
- Fix the luminaire base onto the mounting surface using the enclosed or any other suitable fixing material.
- Make sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
- Establish an earth conductor connection and make the electrical connection to the terminals.
- Take note that glass and metal have different expansion rates. To allow for expansion, place the glass into the luminaire base and fix the set screws hand tight. After tightening, loosen the set screws for half a turn to allow the glass to move.
- Replacement of the LED module:
- The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
- The light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
- The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
- Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
- Follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
- If the glass is defective, it must be replaced.
- Close the luminaire after completing the replacement.

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national
safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by
a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage
caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made
to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be
considered the manufacturer.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation

- The expansion of glass and metal is different.
- The glass must be allowed to expand.
- Place glass into the luminaire base and fix set screws hand tight.
- After tightening the set screws loosen them for half a turn to allow the glass to move.
Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.
Replacement of the LED module
- The designation of the LED module is noted on the label in the luminaire.
- The light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
- The module can be replaced by qualified
- persons using standard tools.
- Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
- Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
- The defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
