MONACOR M-32CD CD Player Module
Product Information
The CD Player Module (Model: M-32CD) is a versatile audio player that can play standard audio CDs (CD-DA), as well as CDs, USB storage devices, and SD/SDHC memory cards with MP3 files. It also supports WMA file format. The module has various input and output ports, including +12V power input, audio output for left and righ channels, and ground connection. The module is designed to be installed by a qualified professional.
Product Usage Instructions
Installation:
- The CD Player Module should only be installed by a qualified professional.
- Connect the +12V power input to the red wire and the ground connection to the black wire.
- Connect the audio output for the left channel to the L-CH port and the audio output for the right channel to the R-CH port.
Operation:
- After connecting the 12V power supply, the module will turn on and display “Welcome” on the screen.
- Use the buttons on the remote control or on the module itself to control the playback:
- PLAY/PAUSE button: Press this button to play or pause the current track.
- REV-SKIP-CUE button: Use this button to skip to the previous track or cue to a specific part of the current track.
- STOP button: Press this button to stop playback.
- EJECT button: Press this button to eject the CD or remove the USB/SD card.
- FUNC button: Use this button to switch between different playback modes, such as playing all tracks or programming a custom sequence.
Programming Custom Sequence
- Press the FUNC button to enter the programming mode.
- For a standard audio CD (display shows “CDA”), enter the track number using the numeric buttons.
- For an MP3 playback, enter the folder number using the numeric buttons.
- Continue programming the desired tracks in the sequence.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE (II) to start playing the programmed sequence (display shows “MEM”).
- If you want to restart the programmed sequence, press PROG and then PLAY/PAUSE (II) again.
Additional Functions:
- DISPLAY button: Press this button to view track information, folder name, and number of folders and tracks.
- ID3 button: Use this button to access search functions for MP3 playback.
- FIND button: Press this button to search for a specific track or folder.
- A-B button: Use this button to enable single track playback and pause at the end of a track.
- REPEAT button: Press this button to enable repeat playback of a track or all tracks.
- MUTE button: Press this button to mute the audio output.

CD Player Module
These instructions are intended for users without any specific technical
knowledge. However, the installation of the module (chapter 3) must be made by
qualified personnel only. Please read these instructions carefully prior to
operation/ installation and keep them for later reference.
Applications
The CD player module M-32CD is designed for installation into a basic device
(e. g. active speaker system, amplifier) and offers extensive features, such
as programming of a title se-quence, continuous repeat, random replay, sin-gle
title replay, remote control of the PLAY/ PAUSE function via a momentary foot
switch.
The player allows to replay standard audio CDs (CD-DA) and CDs, USB storage
media and SD / SDHC memory cards with MP3 files.
Note:
- The player also supports the reproduction of WMA files.
- Depending on the CD type, the CD burner and the burning program used, problems may occur when CD-RWs are replayed.
- Due to the large number of storage device manufacturers and device drivers, it cannot be guaran-teed that all storage media are compatible with the player.
Safety Notes
The module corresponds to all relevant directives of the EU and is therefore marked with . The module corresponds to the relevant UK legislation and is therefore marked with UKCA.
- The module is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against dripping water and splash water, high air humid ity and heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
- Do not use the basic device with the installed module
- if the module or the device is visibly damaged,
- if a defect might have occurred after the device was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
- if malfunctions occur.
Any repairs on the module or the device must be carried out by specialists.
No guarantee claims for the module and no liability for any resulting personal damage or material damage will be accepted if the module is used for other pur pos es than orig-inally intended, if it is not correctly operat ed or installed or not expertly repaired.
If the module is to be put out of opera-tion definitively, dispose of the module in accordance with local regulations.
Installation
The CD player module must only be installed by qualified personnel!
- Always switch off the basic device into which the module is to be inserted and disconnect it from the mains!
- To accommodate the module, make a cutout of 155 mm × 50 mm on the basic device. The module must be installed into the device in a horizontal way.
- Make the electrical connection to the basic device:

R-CH| red| right channel - The function PLAY/ PAUSE (▶II ) can be re-mote-controlled by means of an optional momentary foot switch (e. g. FS-60 from MONACOR). Connect the foot switch to the 3.5 mm jack on the rear side of the module. For a foot switch with a 6.3 mm plug (e. g. FS-60) use a corresponding adapter.
- Push the module through the cutout on the basic device and fix it via its front panel with four screws.
Operation
Infrared remote control
To insert the batteries (2 × 1.5 V, size A A A), re-move the battery
compartment cover on the rear side of the remote control. Insert the batteries
as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the compartment with the cover.
If the remote control is not in use for a longer period of time, remove the
batteries as a precaution to prevent any damage due to battery leakage. When
you press a button on the remote control, always direct the remote control to-
wards the infrared sensor (D). There must be no obstacles between the remote
control and the sensor.
If the range of the remote control decreases, the batteries are exhausted and
must be replaced.
Never put batteries in the household waste. Always dispose of the batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Replaying music titles
After applying the 12 V operating voltage, the module is switched on. The
display will show Welcome.
Inserting a replay medium
- Insert a CD with the lettering facing up into the CD slot (A) until it is pulled in automat-ically.
- Connect a USB flash drive to the USB port (B) or connect a hard disk (with individual power supply, if required) to the USB port.
- Insert a memory card into the memory card slot (C), the notched corner of the card to the right. To remove the card, slightly push it in to eject the card from the slot.
After reading in a medium, its replay will start automatically. All operating options are listed in chapter 7.
Maintenance
Protect the module from dust, vibrations, hu-midity and heat. For cleaning
only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water or chemicals.
Note concerning sound interruptions and reading errors: Cigarette smoke and
dust will easily pene-trate through all openings of the module and will also
settle on the optics of the laser sampling system. If this deposit should
cause reading errors and sound interruptions, the CD player must be cleaned by
skilled personnel. Please note that there will be a charge on cleaning, even
during the warranty period!
