Product Usage Instructions
To ensure proper installation and operation of the luminaire, please follow
the below instructions:
- The installation and commissioning of the luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations.
- Ensure that the luminaire is properly connected to the power supply.
- Do not make any modifications to the luminaire without consulting the manufacturer. The person responsible for modifications will be considered the manufacturer and any damage caused as a result will not be covered under warranty. For overvoltage protection, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components in addition to the built-in protection.
- Optional metal trim rings are available for this luminaire. The trim rings are accessories and must be ordered separately.

Application
Ceiling and wall luminaire · indoor luminaire made of hand-blown opal glass,
satin matt, and aluminum alloy housing, for all lighting tasks. They are ideal
for places where a soft and uniform lighting distribution is required.

Luminaire with trim ring
Before installing onto the mounting surface the luminaire housing must be
inserted into the trim ring (accessory).
Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light
output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Lead
mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing. Fix the
luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the
mounting surface. It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets. Make an earth
conductor connection.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make an electrical connection. For
digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA. In case this
terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
Insert the opal glass into the luminaire housing with sliding bolt glass
closure and turn the glass clockwise up to the stop. Place glass on the
luminaire housing and observe that the holding spring bolts fit into the
notches of the glass. Turn the glass clockwise until it is locked. Thus, you
reach a safe and vibration-resistant holding glass. To release the glass from
the luminaire housing, turn it counterclockwise.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against
overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve additional protection
against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate
overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at
www.bega.com.
Maintenance
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire. The
light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those
of the modules originally fitted. The module
can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the
system. Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning it
counterclockwise. Clean glass and luminaire regularly with solvent-free
cleansers from dirt. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED
module. Screw in the glass by turning it clockwise as far as it will go. A
broken glass must be replaced Accessory For this luminaire metal trim rings
on 4 surfaces are optionally available. Trim rings are accessories and must be
ordered separately.
