Product Information

This product is a luminaire that requires installation and operation according to national safety regulations. It should only be installed and commissioned by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation. Modifications to the luminaire should only be made by the person responsible for the modifications. The electronic components in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. Additional overvoltage protection components are recommended for further protection against transients, which can be found on the manufacturer’s website.

The luminaire has a lamp module with a connected wattage of 8 W and a luminaire-connected wattage of 9.1 W. The rated temperature is between 25 and 45 degrees Celsius. The ambient temperature should be within this range as well. The module designation is LED-1030/830 with a color temperature of 3000 K. The color rendering index (CRI) is greater than 80. The module luminous flux is 1165 lm, and the luminaire luminous flux is 924 lm. The luminaire has a luminous efficiency of 101.5 lm/W.

Product Usage Instructions

• During installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
• To ensure a secure connection, position the luminaire housing precisely in relation to the mounting plate. Make sure the vertical bar inside the housing aligns with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate. Press the housing firmly against the plate and turn it clockwise until it stops.
• Screw the enclosed trim ring with the attached reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.
• To replace the LED module, refer to the label in the luminaire for its designation. The replacement module should have the same light color and output as the original module. Disconnect the electrical installation, open the luminaire, and follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Close the luminaire after replacing the module.

For spare parts, the product includes an LED power supply unit (DEV-0304/350), LED module (LED-1030/830), glass/trim ring (75 004 418), and reflector unit (75 004 444).

Safety

• The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
• Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
• If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

• The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
• To achieve additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

• LED are high-quality electronic components!
• Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
• Remove the mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
• Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).

Please note:

• If the luminaire is to be mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface, it is mandatory to make sure that the mounting surface is connected conductively to the earth conductor of the luminaire!
• Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate.
• Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
• Establish the earth conductor connection on the earthing screw of the mounting plate.
• Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact).
• Push silicone hoses over connecting wires and make the electrical connection at the terminal marked (L) and (N).

IMPORTANT:

• To ensure a secure connection, the luminaire housing must be positioned precisely in relation to the mounting plate.
• Make sure that the vertical bar inside the luminaire housing is positioned precisely in the area of the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate.
• Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise firmly against the stop.
• Screw the enclosed trim ring with the attached reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.

Cleaning And Maintenance

• Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacing the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
• Disconnect the electrical installation.
• Open the luminaire.
• Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• Close the luminaire.
