alula RE611P Pet Immune Indoor Motion Sensor User Manual
he Pet Immune Indoor Motion Sensor alarms when motion is sensed. It is battery powered and requires no installation tools.
Features
- Five year battery life
- Quick peel and press mounting
- Mountable on walls or in corners
Enroll by placing the panel into wireless enrollment mode and then sending an enrollment signal from the sensor. Alternatively, the sensor can be enrolled by entering its 8-character serial number in the AlulaConnect™ portal.
Options for sending an Enrollment Signal
- Remove the battery tab
- Remove the cover to trip the tamper
Install using the included mounting tape to adhere the motion sensor on a wall or in a corner. Alternatively, screw mounting can be done by punching out the screw mounting holes and using the included screws to mount in the desired location.
Installation Tips
- Mount 7.5 feet from the floor.
- Remove the cover before trying to punch out the screw mounting holes.
- It is recommended to ensure there is a tight seal around the mounting holes to prevent bugs from entering the sensor and causing false alarms.
During normal operation the LED will not turn on even if motion is detected. This is done to maximize battery life. Furthermore, when motion is detected and a signal is transmitted to the panel, the sensor will not transmit again for a period of three minutes.

Pro Tips
Walk test mode is entered by removing the battery for 10 seconds and re- inserting the battery. The red LED will begin to flash indicating that the motion sensor is warming up. After 45 seconds, the LED will stop flashing which indicates the motion sensor is ready to detect motion. The LED will illuminate each time motion is detected. Once the LED goes out, the sensor is ready to detect motion again. Walk test mode ends after 15 minutes. It is recommended that the RE611P PIR is tested monthly to ensure proper function.
Mounting tape works great if the surface is properly prepared and firm
pressure is applied for over 10 seconds.
Surface Preparation
- Clean the surface
- Ensure the mounting surface temperature is above 50 °F
Motion sensitivity can be adjusted by the sensitivity jumper on the circuit board.
- For standard sensitivity motion detection with pet immunity leave the jumper in the default setting (on).
- Remove the jumper if increased sensitivity to movement is desired.
Pet immunity is optimized when the motion sensor is mounted at 7.5 feet high and aimed away from house features that could allow pets to be high in the detection field (e.g. stairs, counter tops, tall furniture).
Motion catch performance is best when the motion sensor is positioned so a person would typically walk across the front of the motion sensor instead of directly toward the motion sensor.
Motion Detection Tips
- Provide a clear line-of-sight to the monitored area and remember that glass blocks infrared energy (PIR = Passive InfraRed).
- Aim away from windows and sunlight.
- Aim away from air conditioners, heaters or heating/cooling vents.
