What’s in the box

Hardware overview

Camera setup

a. Insert a MicroSD card in the slot on the back of the camera
b. Power on the camera and wait for about one minute until the LED indicator blinks in a 3-flash repeating pattern
Note: It is best to test the camera’s functionality with the app prior to mounting.

App configuration

a. Open the Alula Security app
b. In the app, browse to Cameras, then tap the `+’ icon on the top right of the screen and follow your device’s on-screen prompts

Camera installation

a. When mounted outdoors, the camera connections should be appropriately protected from the weather. Mount the camera on a junction box or feed the camera cable into the hole and pull it out from the interior. Use fish tape to pull the cable through the wall if needed. Caulk the hole properly to avoid water damage.
b. Plug camera into power supply. If connecting your camera with a wired connection, plug the ethernet cable into your router.

If the camera system no longer functions or can no longer be repaired, it must be disposed of according to the valid statutory regulations. Disposal of spent batteries/accumulators: You are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all spent batteries and accumulators. Disposing of spent batteries/accumulators with common household waste is prohibited! Batteries/accumulators that contain hazardous substances are marked with symbols on the side. These symbols indicate that it is prohibited to dispose of these batteries/accumulators in household waste. The abbreviations for the respective heavy metals are Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, and Pb=lead. You can return spent batteries and accumulators that can no longer be charged to the designated collection points in your community, outlets or wherever batteries or accumulators are sold. Following these instructions will allow you to fulfill the legal requirements and contribute to the protection of our environment!
