Product Usage Instructions
Installing the Collet:
- When looking at the inside of the collar, the hole inside is offset. This is what centers and locks the collet in place. Press the collet into collar until the collet flange slips into the undercut of the collar, it will make a distinct snap. Verify the face of the collet is flush with face of the collar. Now install the Collet/Collar combo into the collet body and tighten. Use Diagram 1 to verify correct assembly.
- To remove the collet, unscrew the collar and remove the collet/collar combo. Push the collet out of the collar, if it seems stuck you can angle it in the direction of the offset hole.
- Initial installation of the collet may seem stiff but will soften up over time.
