Product Information

The Decken- und Wandleuchte is a ceiling and wall luminaire with high protection class (IP 65). It is unshielded and made of aluminum alloy and crystal glass. The luminaire has a clear glass cover and is dustproof and protected against water jets. It is also impact-resistant (IK06).

The luminaire has electronic components that are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. However, for additional protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components.

The installation and operation of this luminaire must be done in accordance with national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should carry out the installation and commissioning. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation. Any modifications made to the luminaire should be done by a responsible person who will be considered the manufacturer.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Ensure that the luminaire is installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with national safety regulations.
2. Before installation, make sure that the power supply is turned off.
3. Choose a suitable location for the luminaire on the ceiling or wall.
4. Securely mount the luminaire using the provided screws or brackets.
5. Connect the wires from the power supply to the luminaire’s connection terminals.
6. If required, install separate overvoltage protection components for additional safety.
7. Once the wiring is complete, turn on the power supply.
8. The luminaire can be operated using a suitable switch or dimmer, if applicable.
9. For maintenance and cleaning, disconnect the power supply and use a soft cloth to wipe the luminaire’s surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Overvoltage protection

The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Installation

1. LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
2. Undo screws.
3. Remove the luminaire top with glass and gasket. Lead the main supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
4. Fix the luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
5. Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied. Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
6. Insert glass with gasket and luminaire top. Make sure that the gasket is in correct position. Tighten screws firmly.

Cleaning  Maintenance

• Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits.
• Do not use high-pressure cleaners.

Replacing the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
• The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
• Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
• Defective glass must be replaced.
• Close the luminaire.
