Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installation and operation, please ensure to comply with national safety regulations.
  2. Installation and commissioning should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
  3. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
  4. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.
  5. The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
  6. To achieve additional protection against transients and other events, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components.
  7. To disassemble the LED module, disconnect the LED plug connection and remove the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
  8. Strip the mains connection cable.
  9. Secure the luminaire using appropriate mounting material on the mounting surface.
  10. Make sure to use the included gaskets during installation.
  11. Reconnect the earth conductor connection to the plug connection.
  12. Perform the electrical connection to the plug connection.
  13. Insert the LED plug part into the plug connection until it clicks into place.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Loosen hexagon socket head cap screws (4x). Disassemble LED module. Loosen LED connection and earth connection (plug connection).  Dismantle the mains supply cable. Lead mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing. Fix the luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets. Push silicone sleeves over the lines. Make earth conductor connection to plug connection. Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make an electrical connection to plug connection. Make earth connection between LED module and luminaire housing (plug connection). Push LED plug into the coupler as fa as it will go. Assemble LED module. Tighten the hexagon socket head cap screws evenly (4x). Please observe that the LED module is not damaged mechanically. Fix glass to the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise. Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt. Defective glass must be replaced.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire. The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
