BEGA 33 150 Ceiling Wall Pillar Luminaire

Product Information

This product is an unshielded luminaire made of stainless steel. It is designed for installation under ceilings, on walls, pillars,  and murals. The luminaire is equipped with a three-ply opal glass that distributes light softly and uniformly over the glass surface. It has a steel grade of 1.4401 and a silicone gasket for protection against dust and splash water. The luminaire has an impact strength of IK03 and a protection class of IP64, making it resistant to mechanical damage and suitable for outdoor use. It weighs 1.6 kg and contains energy-efficient light sources.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the installation and operation of the luminaire comply with national safety regulations.
  2. Only a qualified electrician should perform the installation and commissioning of the luminaire.
  3. Avoid improper use or installation, as it may cause damage for which the manufacturer will not be liable.
  4. If modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
  5. For additional protection against overvoltage and transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components. These components can be found on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.
  6. The luminaire has a rated temperature and ambient temperature specified. Ensure that these limits are not exceeded during operation.
  7. The product is available in different module designations, color temperatures, color rendering indexes, module luminous fluxes, luminaire luminous fluxes, and luminaire luminous efficiencies. Choose the appropriate variant based on your requirements.

Application

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Screw out glass from the luminaire housing. Undo screws and disassemble the mounting plate – key slots – . Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry of the mounting plate.Fix mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. It is absolutely essential to use the enclosed gaskets. Make earth conductor connection. Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection. Push plug into the coupler up to the stop.Place the housing onto the mounting plate and fix with screws. Screw glass with gasket into the luminaire housing. Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.  The light colour and light output of BEGAreplacement modules correspond to those of  the modules originally fitted.The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
Cleaning · Maintenance
After installation, the luminaire should first be cleaned. Building dust, residues from contact adhesives, paint splashes and rust film must be completely removed. Never use high pressure cleaners and cleaning implements made of normal steel, steel brushes or steel wool  because they cause extraneous rust to form.When using stainless steel cleaners, please read the directions carefully. Cleaning agents containing hydrochloric acid and chlorides should never be used. We recommend cleaning the luminaires regularly.
