Disconnect the earth conductor terminal (plug contact).
Attach the mains cable through the cable entry on the mounting plate using the provided or suitable fastening material.
Mount the mounting plate in the desired position, ensuring to align the arrow downwards.
Ensure that the installation and commissioning of the luminaire are done by a qualified electrician.
Follow national safety regulations for the installation and operation of the luminaire.
Do not make any modifications to the luminaire without proper authorization, as it may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
For additional protection against overvoltage and transients, we recommend using separate overvoltage protection components.

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve additional protection against e.g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

LED are high-quality electronic components!
Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Undo the hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift the luminaire housing. Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Fasten the mounting plate with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the installation surface.
Note the position of application of the mounting plate “arrow down”.
Establish the earth conductor connection on the earthing screw (1) of the mounting plate.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines.
Make the electrical connection to the terminals.
Observe the correct configuration of the connecting cable. Connect the live conductor to the brown wire (L) and the neutral conductor to the blue wire (N).
The two connecting terminals marked DA, and DA are provided for digital control purposes.
If these terminals are not assigned, the luminaire will work with full light output.
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate (plug contact).
Place connecting terminals inside the luminaire housing.
Note the position of application of the luminaire “arrow down”.
Install luminaire housing over the mounting plate and tighten hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 2.5 mm) evenly.

Replacing the LED module

Replacing the power supply unit
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The replacement can be carried out by a qualified person using standard tools.
Disconnect the system from the power supply.
Unscrew the hexagon socket screws (SW 2.5) underneath and lift off the luminaire housing.
Remove the wires on the luminaire side from the terminals marked (L), (N), and DA DA.
Disconnect the earth conductor connection with the mounting plate (plug contact).
Insert a hex wrench (SW 2–2.5) in the boreholes in the diffuser lenses. Release the diffuser lenses from their magnetic holders by rotating them slightly and carefully pulling them out of the luminaire housing together with the hex wrench.
Unscrew the two nuts (M 2.5) with serrated washers in the connection compartment of the luminaire housing, and remove the die-cast housing with LED modules and power supply unit from the luminaire housing.
Remove the LED module. Install the replacement LED module. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Replace defective LED power supply unit. Install in reverse order.
