Product Information
The product is a fixture that requires assembly and mounting. It is designed for indoor or outdoor use and comes with a glass cover and a mounting plate.
Product Usage Instructions
- Find a clear area to work and unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
- Review the instructions carefully before starting the assembly process
- Start the installation by removing the mounting plate (A) from the backplate (B). Remove the two screws (C) located at the top and bottom of the backplate (B) and set them aside for later use.
- Attach the mounting plate (A) to the junction box (J) using two screws (D) (not provided). Make sure that one of the holes (E) on the mounting plate is facing towards the ceiling before tightening the screws (D).
- Make all necessary electrical connections following the provided instruction sheet IS-18.
- After making all connections, tuck the wires into the junction box (J) and slip the backplate (B) over the mounting flange (E). Align the threaded holes in the flange (E) with the holes (H) in the backplate (B).
- Thread in the screws (C) that were removed earlier and tighten them to secure the fixture to the wall.
- Slide the glass (2) over the socket (1).
- Lock the glass with the socket ring (3).
- Install appropriate medium base bulbs in the lamp fixture.
- The fixture is now ready to be powered on.
Note: For wiring and grounding instructions, please refer to the provided IS-18 instruction sheet and any additional directions. It is important to turn off the power supply during installation. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified electrician or local authorities for code requirements. For indoor fixtures, connect the positive supply wire (A) to the positive fixture lead (B) using an appropriately sized twist-on connector. Connect the negative supply wire (C) to the negative fixture lead (D). For outdoor fixtures, follow the same steps as indoor fixtures but also cover the open ends of the connectors with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal. If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate (backplate) and the wall to prevent water from entering the outlet box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting platform specially.
Assembly Instructions
- Find a clear area in which you can work.
- Unpack fixture and glass from carton.
- Carefully review instructions prior to assembly.
DRAWING 1 – MOUNTING

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground
wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting
strap (M) with the ground screw (S) – see Drawing 1.
Note: On straps for screw supported fixtures, first install the two
mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground
screw.
Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) under
the head of the ground screw (S) on fixture mounting strap (M) and connect to
the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the
building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Drawing 2.
Post-Mount Fixtur es
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to
power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post.
