BEGA 50094.3 Indoor Wall Luminaire

Product Information The product is an enclosed and free-radiating wall luminaire made of hand-blown opal glass with a metal housing. It is designed for all lighting tasks in interior applications. The luminaire is equipped with electronic components that are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. It has a module connected wattage of 16.4 W and a luminaire connected wattage of 19 W. The rated temperature range is 25°C to 45°C. The colour temperature of the LED module is 3000 K, with a colour rendering index (CRI) greater than 90. The module has a luminous flux of 2415 lm, while the luminaire has a luminous flux of 1360 lm. The luminaire has a luminous efficiency of 71.6 lm/W.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Installation and commissioning of the luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations.
  2. Ensure that the installation location complies with the specified ambient temperature range of 25°C to 45°C.
  3. To achieve additional protection against overvoltage and transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website.
  4. When replacing the LED module, disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
  5. Refer to the installation instructions provided for replacing the LED module.
  6. If the glass is defective, it should be replaced before closing the luminaire.

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

  • LED are high-quality electronic components!
  • Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
  • Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing.
  • Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
  • Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
  • Establish earth conductor connection and make the electrical connection to the terminals.
  • For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA.
  • In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
  • Insert the glass into luminaire housing and fix it by screwing the shield hand-tight clockwise onto the glass.
  • Remove the protective film from the shield.

NOTE: If adhesive residue from the protective film remains on the edge of the shield, it can be removed using commercially available lighter fluid.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.
Defective glass must be replaced.

Replacement of the LED module

  • The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
  • The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
  • The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
  • Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
  • Defective glass must be replaced.
  • Close the luminaire.
