Use

Power supply, doorbell
The doorbell can be charged with the included Micro USB cable and USB adapter. It is also possible to power the doorbell using a 12/24 V AC adapter (not included.
Mounting the doorbell (USB adapter)

When using the USB adapter as the power source, connect the Micro USB cable to the Micro USB port on the doorbell and to the USB adapter to charge the doorbell before mounting. Use the included hex key to screw off the small screw from underneath the doorbell and remove the bracket from the back of the doorbell. Drill holes that have the same size as the included plugs. Insert the plugs and screw the bracket onto the wall with the included screws. Place the doorbell in the bracket and lock it with the small screw.
Mounting the doorbell (12/24 V AC adapter)

When using a 12/24 V AC adapter (not included) as the power source, connect it to the doorbell before attaching the doorbell to the wall. Remember to run the cables through the bracket when connecting them to the doorbell. Drill holes that have the same size as the included plugs. Insert the plugs and screw the bracket onto the wall with the included screws. Place the doorbell in the bracket and lock it with the small screw from underneath.
Power supply, chime
Remove the battery lid on the bottom of the chime and insert 3x AA batteries. Mind the polarity. The chime can also be powered by a Micro USB cable and USB adapter. Do not use batteries and cable at the same time.
Connecting chime and doorbell
Open the protective cover on the back of the doorbell to expose the power switch. Set the power switch to ON. Press the pairing button on the chime. The status indicator flashes red. Press the doorbell button to pair with the chime. Pairing is successful when the status indicator turns off and the ringtone starts to play.
Adjust the ringtone
Press the volume button on the chime to adjust the volume of the ringtone. Press the ringtone button to change the ringtone. There are four ringtones to choose from.

Connect to app

  1. Find and install the app ‘Smart Life – Smart living’ on App Store or Google Play.
  2. Register an account in the app or log in to an existing one.
  3. Press “+” and “Add device” in the app, go to “Security & Video Surveillance” and choose “Smart doorbell”. The app searches for devices nearby.
  4. Make sure that the power switch on the doorbell is set to ON and that the status indicator is flashing. Press “Next” in the app
  5. Enter the details for your 2.4 GHz wifi.
  6. A QR code shows in the app. Place your phone in front of the doorbell’s camera and let it scan the code. When you hear the doorbell beep, confirm in the app. You can now control the doorbell in the app.
  7. If the app asks for chime type, choose “Wireless”.

Storage
If you want to store the footage, insert a Micro SD card (not included) in the camera or use a cloud storage service (not included. Configure cloud storage in the app. The Micro SD card slot is located under the protective cover on the back of the doorbell.
Factory reset
Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to reset the doorbell’s internal settings. The reset button is located under the protective cover on the back of the doorbell. Press and hold the pairing button on the chime for 5 seconds to reset the chime.
Note! The doorbell will still be connected to your device and visible in the app. Remove the product connected to your app by selecting it. Edit the device by pressing the symbol”…” in the upper right-hand corner of the app. At the bottom of the page press “Remove Device”.

Troubleshooting

The doorbell cannot connect to the app.
Make sure your device is connected to a 2.4 GHz wifi with a stable connection. If you have a dual-band router, your device can automatically connect to the 5 GHz wifi. In this case, your device cannot communicate with the camera. Disable the 5 GHz wifi in your router and try again. The app needs access to your device’s location services. Make sure you have allowed access to location services while using the app. Reset the doorbell according to the instructions under Factory reset.
The connection to the doorbell was lost.
If you recently changed to a new router or renamed your network you need to reinstall the doorbell again. Reset the doorbell according to the instructions under Factory reset. Follow the “Connect to the app” instructions to add the camera to your home network.
The doorbell and the chime cannot connect.
Make sure both units are correctly powered and turned on. Reset the doorbell and the chime according to the instructions under Factory Reset.
