Use
Clean all parts that will come into contact with the ice cream before using the ice cream maker (bowl, mixing blade and lid).
Assembly
Place the bowl in the ice cream maker. Make sure that the bowl fits with the
grooves of the top lid (fig 1 ).
Assemble the mixing blade, lid and motor and place the unit in the bowl (fig
2).
Lock the unit with the three components by turning it clockwise. Make sure
that the triangle mark on the unit rotates to the “LOCK” mark.
Insert the plug into a socket and you are ready to start making ice cream.
Note! Before using the ice cream maker the first time, wait two hours after
you have positioned it, and keep the lid open for at least two hours.
Make your own homemade ice cream or sorbet
Before starting to use your ice cream maker, prepare the mixture according to
the recipe you have chosen. Many ice cream recipes are based on custard, also
known as creme anglais, which you prepare in a saucepan on the cooker. When
the mixture is ready, you pour it directly into the ice cream maker’s bowl.
Note! Do not fi 11 the bowl more than 2/3.
Mixing mode
The mixing mode is used to mix the ingredients further, or to add flavourings
to the ice cream like chunks of berries or chocolate. Turn the knob to Mixing
mode and the ice cream maker mixes the ingredients for 30 minutes or until you
turn it off. When 30 minutes have passed you hear 10 beeps. When the mixing is
finished, turn the knob to another function or turn the machine off.
Precool mode
Turn the knob to Precool mode to cool down the bowl and the ingredients for 30
minutes before making the ice cream. This decreases the time. When the
precooling is finished, the machine beeps 10 times. Turn the knob to another
function or turn the machine off.
Ice cream mode
Turn the knob to Ice cream mode to make your ice cream. The compressor, mixing
motor and cooling fan start. It is the combination of stirring and cooling
that gives the ice cream its smooth and soft texture. When the ice cream is
finished and ready to be served after approximately one hour, the ice cream
maker beeps 10 times. If you leave the knob on ice cream mode after the ice
cream is finished, the keep cool function is activated.
Keep cool function
The keep cool function is activated automatically in ice cream mode when the
machine has been inactive for 10 minutes after the ice cream making ended. To
keep the ice cream cold, soft and smooth, the machine cools down the ice cream
every 10 minutes. This function comes in handy when you are not able to eat
the ice cream or put it in the freezer right away. The keep cool function is
active for one hour. The machine beeps 10 times and turns off automatically.
Turn the knob back to “Power off”.
Protection functions
The ice cream maker has a protection function for the motor and the
compressor.
If the ice cream becomes too hard, the motor automatically stops to prevent
motor short circuit.
The compressor protection function activates if you quickly turn the maker off
from ice cream mode or precool mode, to then directly turn it on and switch
back to ice cream mode or precool mode. The machine does not start until after
5 minutes to protect the compressor.
Cleaning and maintenance
Disconnect the ice cream maker from the power supply before cleaning.
Clean the housing with a damp cloth. Do not pour water on the cord, plug or
ventilation, and do not immerse the ice cream maker in water or any other
liquid.
Handwash the lid and the motor. The mixing blade and the bowl can be washed in
a dishwasher. Let all parts dry completely before next use.
