Mounting the doorbell (USB adapter)
When using the USS adapter as the power source, connect the Micro-USS cable to the Micro-USS port on the doorbell and to the USS adapter to charge the doorbell. Remove the bracket from the back of the doorbell. Drill holes that have the same size as the included plugs. Insert the plugs and screw the bracket onto the wall with the included screws. Place the doorbell in the bracket and lock it with the small screw.
Mounting the doorbell (24 V AC adapter)
When using a 24 V AC adapter (not included) as the power source, connect it to
the doorbell before attaching the doorbell to the wall. Remember to run the
cables through the bracket when connecting them to the doorbell.
Drill holes that have the same size as the included plugs. Insert the plugs
and screw the bracket onto the wall with the included screws. Place the
doorbell in the bracket and lock it with the small screw.
Insert battery (chime) Remove the battery lid on the bottom of the chime and insert 3x AA batteries. Mind the polarity.
Connecting chime and doorbell Press the Pairing button on the chime. The status indicator flashes red. Press the doorbell button to pair with the chime. Pairing is successful when the status indicator turns off and the ringtone starts to play.
Adjust the ringtone Press the Volume button on the chime to adjust the volume of the ringtone. Press the Ringtone button to change the ringtone. There are four ringtones to choose from.
Mobile app
- Find and install the app ‘Smart Life – Smart living’ on App Store or Google Play.
- Register an account in the app or log in to an existing one.
- Press “Add device” in the app, go to “Security & sensor” and choose “Smart doorbell'”. The app searches for devices nearby.
- Turn on the doorbell and make sure the status indicator is flashing blue. Press “Next” in the app.
- Enter the details for your 2.4 GHz wifi.
- A QR code shows in the app. Place your phone in front of the doorbell’s camera and let it scan the code. When you hear the doorbell beep three times, press “I heard a prompt” in the app. You can now control the doorbell in the app.
Factory reset Press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds with the
included pin to reset the doorbell’s internal settings. Note! The doorbell
will still be connected to your device and visible in the app. Remove it from
the app separately to let future users install it in their own app and
account. Press and hold the Pairing button on the chime for 5 seconds to reset
the chime.
Safety information Do not open or modify the doorbell in any way. This
should only be done by a qualified technician due to the risk of electric
shocks or short circuit.
