USE
This radio has countless broadcasting options, thanks to the use of the latest technologies. Suitable for receiving traditional analog, digital and Internet radio stations. It can also play content wirelessly from your mobile devices and network storage devices. With its wired input and output connectors, it can receive signals from almost every stereo device, and transmit audio to them. You can also listen to it with headphones. The stereo, bass-reflex sound system provides excellent sounding. Includes the mains adapter and the remote control.
INSTALLATION
This product can work with computer devices. Therefore, when preparing this description, it has been assumed that the user has a general knowledge of how to handle them. Installing and using this radio is close to using computers and cell phones. Some of its features require third party service / software / hardware. If they are modified, updated, or an incorrect version is selected, the available features and operation may change, which is not a defect of this product. Full operation may be affected by the type of the router connected, settings, Internet / WiFi network quality, range, content provided by the music broadcaster at all times, and so on. Some advanced Internet settings may require a specialist if the network environment is not normal.
POWER SUPPLY
The device can only be operated from the supplied mains adapter. Connect its wire to the DC IN (11.) socket, then the adapter to the mains. Power can be completely disconnected by unplugging the adapter from the mains, and the radio can be switched off completely with the toggle switch on the backside.
- The rear main switch must be switched off before inserting or removing the adapter!
- When used regularly, you can turn the radio on and off with the (1.) button on the front panel and remote control. When turned on, the main menu is displayed.
CONNECTING TO INTERNET
You have two options. For the best quality and most stable network connection, use a LAN cable (UTP, FTP, STP, min.CAT 5 – CAT 6), that can be plugged into the LAN (12.) connector on the backside. Connect the radio directly to your WiFi router. It is usually not necessary to configure it – it is done automatically – but the DHCP setting must be active on your router (see its user guide for details). After a faulty connection, the network connection symbol is shown in the upper left corner of the display:
Another option is to establish a wireless connection (WLAN) through your
own 2.4 G WiFi network.
When you turn it on for the first time, or when you have reset to factory
settings (FACTORY RESET), the following text appears on the display:
CONFIGURE NETWORK? (YES-NO).
If you do not see this message, you can find the WiFi connection option in the menu here: MENU button; MAIN MENU / CONFIGURATION / NETWORK / WIFI NETWORK / ADD-REMOVE AP / ADD AP-SCAN
A list of available networks will then appear, from which you can select the one you want to connect to. Enter the network password.
-
In the main menu (MENU button) you can scroll through the rotary selector and then briefly press it to select the function you want to operate. Press when you see the gear (SETTING) in the center of the display.
-
In the submenu that appears, you can also scroll with the rotary knob and press to select a function.
Proceed in the order above until you see the name of your WiFi network on the display. Select this network by pressing the rotary knob, and then enter the password. -
To enter the password of the WiFi network, enter the consecutive characters using the rotary knob, in ABC order. Pay attention to the importance of lowercase and uppercase letters. The selected letter must be confirmed with the (3.) button, or the remote control’s corresponding button. Only press the rotary knob if you have already entered the complete password correctly, as this will start the connection process to the Internet.
-
Use the scroll arrows to move forward or backward to the previous character, deleting it if it is not selected correctly. If necessary, start over, starting from the main menu. This setting only needs to be made once.
-
You can also use the numeric keypad on the remote control to enter the password. You can also use the number buttons to select the letters (lowercase and uppercase) that appear below the numbers. Button „1’ also contains the special characters, the „0” also contains the delete function. Pressing the „OK” button a is equivalent to pressing the rotary knob.
-
During the connection process, the radio should be in a common room and within a few meters next to the router.
-
This unit does not support 5G WiFi networks, connect to 2.4G network, DLNA and UPnP router!
-
Supported encryption methods: WEP, WPA, WPA2
-
For more useful information about connection conditions, see Media Center.
If your WiFi router has a WPS function (button), you can connect to it faster and easier. In this case, instead of the ADD AP SCAN (WiFi network search) it is recommended to activate the ADD AP-WPS BUTTON function below in the menu and then press the WPS button on the router. An encrypted connection is established automatically without entering a password.
If the radio has been successfully connected to the Internet, the strength of the current reception is shown in the upper left corner of the display. It is recommended that the radio be positioned so that as many sticks as possible are visible to maintain a stable Internet connection.

Similar to selecting Internet radio, select Media Center mode as described above. You can listen to content shared from your own media storage on your own WiFi network.
By selecting the UPnP function, the radio starts to search for shared content on the network. In case of more than one compatible device, they appear in a list from which you can select the one you want to access. The submenu that appears has content and appearance depending on the device. The playback of the selected files starts. Press and hold the arrows to scroll through the songs You can also control playback with the standard buttons:

In the bottom submenu, you can delete the complete playlist and then create a new one.
- The media server and radio must be connected to the same WiFi network.
- The directories you want to use must be shared and allowed for external access.
- Only 16 bit / 44.1 kHz files are supported.
- The source device must support UPnP and be DLNA compatible. Attention, these are available in several versions on the market, which are not always compatible with each other!
- A home media server can be a computer, a network hard drive, NAS storage, or similar devices. It is important to configure them properly. Check this in their manual.
- Make sure that the firewall is not blocking outbound ports. The radio must have at least: UDP, TCP port 80, 443, 8008, DNS port 53.
- If the router and server are not configured with DHCP, a static IP address must be configured on the radio.
- The radio has a separate MAC address for wired and wireless Internet connections.
- The radio supports the following encryption methods: WEP, WPA, WPA2.
- The protocols and DLNA compatibility levels of different devices may differ greatly due to the variety of hardware and software versions currently in use, which may prevent them from interacting with the radio. Often, the manufacturers of these devices do not provide accurate and up-to-date information on the actual level of compatibility. For this reason, proper operation cannot be guaranteed with some devices.
- The complex computer system and the various equipment to be connected by third parties may cause a malfunction that is not a malfunction of this unit.
- Access to the connected media server is not guaranteed if it is blocked by external conditions. Numerous technological and hardware differences are possible.
- Playback of supported files is not guaranteed in all cases, as it may be affected by software and hardware conditions independent of the manufacturer
USING THE DAB+/DAB RADIO (TERRESTRIAL DIGITAL BROADCASTING)
The way you already know, select DAB RADIO mode from the main menu. You can listen to more programs in better sound quality than traditional radios. To receive, the rear telescopic antenna must be unplugged. With a properly positioned antenna and near a window, reception is usually better.
The first time you operate it, or if you have not previously stored DAB + / DAB channels, you will be asked if you want to search for digital programs. Press the rotary knob (5.) or the OK button (29.) on the remote control. The display shows the number of channels checked and the number of programs found.
- You can also start a new search at any time from the SETTINGS menu.
If successful, the found and memorized digital is displayed list of radio stations. You can choose one of these on the already known way. The display can also show the clock.
In the list view, use the right arrow to edit the list or to delete selected
programs from it. Follow the instructions on the screen!
If the search fails, the DAB menu appears, where you can start the search
again (DAB Full Scan) or use the manual search instead of the automatic one.
The third line of the menu shows the list of found stations
- The condition for operation is that the service is available in your environment. This varies from country to country and within regions. Check the options available in your area. If DAB + / DAB service is not available in your area, you will not be able to find a radio station in this function. As it is the “radio of the future”, it is expected to gradually spread everywhere.
- No Internet connection is required for this operation mode.
- The reception capability of the radio depends to a large extent on the place of use and the current reception conditions.
- Nearby electrical equipment and larger metal objects may interfere with reception.
- Handle the antenna carefully to avoid breaking it.
USING THE FM RDS RADIO (TERRESTRIAL ANALOGUE BROADCASTING)
Select FM RADIO mode from the main menu. This is the traditional, most common radio broadcast mode. For reception, the rear telescopic antenna must be unplugged. With a properly positioned antenna and near a window, reception is usually better.
When you operate the station for the first time, or if you have not previously stored any FM stations, you are asked if you want to search for radio stations. Press the rotary knob (5.) or the OK button (29.) on the remote control. The display can be used to track the frequencies checked and the number of programs found.
- You can also start a new search at any time from the SETTINGS menu.

Use the left arrow to return to the station list and select another show.
Use the right arrow or more text information you can receive from the program,
if it is provided by your service provider (FM RDS).
The display can also show the clock. In the list view, use the right arrow to
edit the list or to delete selected programs from it .Follow the instructions
on the screen!

To exit, press and hold the rotary knob (5.) or the OK button (29.) and the „TUNING” message disappears. This frequency can also be stored as a favorite.
- Operation requires good quality FM reception in your area. Check the FM broadcast stations available in your area.
- For proper reception, ST (stereo) is displayed in the upper left corner in addition to RDS.
- The search stops when it detects a variable signal strength – this does not always mean finding a radio program.
- The reception capability of the radio depends to a large extent on the place of use and the current reception conditions.
- Nearby electrical equipment and larger metal objects may interfere with reception.
- Handle the antenna carefully to avoid breaking it.
- No Internet connection is required for this operating mode..
- Remember that if the FM reception is weak in your area, you can find the programs you are looking for in Internet radio mode.

WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
The device can be paired with other equipment which is communicating by BT protocol, within maximum 10 meters operation range. After that, music which is played by mobile phone, tablet, notebook and other similar device is audible amplified. Select BT mode in the menu. Place the device to be paired near you and search for nearby BT wireless devices, including this radio, as described in its operating instructions. Connect the two devices. After a successful connection, the radio display shows the access address of the external device and the current mode (PAUSED – playback paused) is shown on the display.
The desired program can then be heard on the stereo speakers. The application of the playback device player (e.g. on a mobile phone) can usually be controlled remotely by briefly pressing the / / buttons (25.) (24.) (32.).
- If you want to listen to music from the database of an external music service provider, manage it on your mobile device and play it on the speakers via BT connection or AUX input.
- The radio can be paired with one BT device at a time.
- When turned on, it will automatically reconnect to a previously paired and properly connected external device, if it is turned on and the BT mode is selected.
- If the wireless connection is lost, if necessary, press the MODE button until you reach the BT function again and the pairing mode is reactivated. If necessary, turn the radio or BT mode on the mobile device off and on again.
- If you receive a phone call to the connected mobile phone while listening to music, music playback will pause. After the conversation, start resuming playback on your phone.
- The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions. (e.g. walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances, movement…)
- Abnormal operation or noise may be caused by nearby electrical appliances, this does not indicate a malfunction of the appliance.
- The individual characteristics of the external device may cause a malfunction, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device. In some cases, the BT function may be limited depending on the external device.
AUDIO INPUT (AUX IN)
If you select AUX IN mode from the main menu, you have the following input
options to connect external devices with headphone output or audio output to
the radio and listen to it through the two built-in speakers.
AUX IN (13.): 3,5 mm diameter stereo jack, external device for receiving
headphone or LINE OUT output (mobile phone, tablet, computer, multimedia
player, instrument, CD / DVD…).
- The available sound quality depends on the quality of the audio signal provided by the external device and its volume and tone settings.
- It is recommended that you turn off the volume control on the player and use it only on the radio.
- A small signal (volume) input to the radio may cause extra noise and a signal that is too large may cause distortion. It is recommended to keep the volume of the external source at a moderate level.
