Product Information

The LED Landscape Lighting – Uplights (Model OD-UPB203) are outdoor luminaires designed for use with low voltage landscape power units that do not exceed 25 amps and have a maximum voltage of 15V. These uplights are intended to enhance outdoor spaces and provide illumination.

Warning

The installation of the LED Uplights must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or damage to the luminaire. It is important to follow the National Electrical Code (NEC), Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), and local codes during installation to ensure compliance andmaintain the warranty.

Please read the instruction manual before commencing installation and retain it for future reference. Electrical products can cause death, injury, or property damage. If you have any doubts about the installation or use of this product, consult a competent electrician.

Product Usage Instructions

Luminaire Mounting (with ground stake)

  1. To prevent electric shock, disconnect the transformer from the electrical supply before installation or service.
  2. Run the wire pigtail from the luminaire through the mounting hole in the top of the ground stake.
  3. Thread the luminaire into the threaded hole in the ground stake.
  4. Place the stake in the desired position and insert it into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush to grade.
  5. Strip the two leads from the luminaire pigtail wire. Using the two silicone-filled safety connectors (provided separately), connect the leads from the luminaire to the main supply cable leads.
  6. Aim the luminaire to the desired angle and lock it into place by tightening the screw in the adjustable knuckle.

  2. Luminaires MUST be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and local codes. Failure to do so will void the warranty and may result in serious injury and/or damage to the luminaire
  3. Depending on lamp wattage used, the luminaire can become very hot enough to blister hands

Application Notice

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

  • Keep away from combustibles. Turn OFF / unplug to change lamp. DO NOT touch the lamp and replace after servicing
  • DO NOT operate the LED Uplight fitted with a missing or damaged shield (Exception — Reference to a shield is able to be replaced with equivalent wording)
  • Install all luminaires 10 feet (3.05m) or more from a pool, spa, or fountain
  • DO NOT touch the lamp directly at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from skin may damage the lamp
  • ALWAYS use UL, cUL, and CSA recognized wire connectors for connections
  • DO NOT touch hot lens, guard, or enclosure

INSTALLATION GUIDE

Luminaire Mounting (with ground stake)

  1. To prevent electric shock, disconnect the transformer from the electrical supply before installation or service

  3. Thread the luminaire into a threaded hole in the ground stake
  4. Place a stake in the desired position and insert into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush to grade
  5. Strip the (2) leads from the luminaire pigtail wire. Using the two (2) silicone-filled safety connectors (by others), connect the leads from the luminaire to the main supply cable leads
  6. Luminaires are supplied with 18-2 cable pigtails for secure connection to the main supply
  7. cable. The fixture supply cable is to be protected by routing in close proximity to the
  8. luminaire. The fixture supply should be buried to a minimum depth of 6 inches (15.2cm)
  9. in order to connect to the main secondary supply cable. To purchase additional lengths
  10. of main low-voltage cable for the connection of the equipment, please contact your local
  11. electrical supply distribution company. Only use the Main Secondary Cable of the type
  12. specified in the National Electric Code, or Canadian Electric Code for landscape lighting
  13. applications. If in doubt, check with your local electrical authority
  14. Aim the luminaire to desired angle. Lock into place by tightening the screw in the adjustable knuckle
