Good Earth SE1295-BRS-02LF1-G 3 Head Battery Operated LED 1000 Lumens
Security Light
Product Information
The SE1295-BRS-02LF1-G is a security light that comes with a light arm, light head, mounting plate, motion sensor, canopy and hardware kit. The hardware kit includes two mounting screws, two masonry anchors and a dusk learn button. The light has a red low battery indicator light and rotary knob for controls. The fixture uses a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor and detects changes in infrared radiation of warm objects moving across the detection zones. It uses four 1.5-volt alkaline D cells batteries (not included) and has a 3-year limited warranty.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before you begin, read the entire installation procedure.
- Select a location that allows the sensor to perform at its peak efficiency. The optimal mounting height is 8-10ft and the minimum mounting height is 8ft. Do not mount above 10ft or near light sources or on the ground.
- Use safety glasses and work gloves during installation.
- To remove electrostatic discharge shock hazard, touch a grounded bare metal surface before installation.
- Remove the battery compartment cover by removing all four screws from the cover.
- Insert four new alkaline D cell batteries into the battery compartment and match the positive and negative terminals.
- Mount the fixture on the wall/surface at the selected location using the provided hardware kit.
- Allow the light to cool down prior to touching it to avoid burn hazards.
- Do not look directly at the LEDs for an extended period of time as they can cause eye damage.
- Use alkaline batteries only and do not mix battery types. Do not attempt to alter the fixture for any reason as it may result in voiding the warranty and create a dangerous situation.
- Cold weather may affect the performance of the fixture. The security light will perform as expected when temperatures rise.
- If you need help, visit the manufacturer’s website or call the Customer Care Center during business hours.

Safety Information
READ ENTIRE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
- CAUTION! BURN HAZARD: Allow light to cool down prior to touching.
- CAUTION Fixture will reliably operate between temperatures of -20°F to 122°F. (At temperatures above 92°F, the passive infrared (PIR) sensor may not detect body heat.)
- WARNING! Do not look directly at the LEDs for an extended period of time. They can cause eye damage.
- WARNING! Use alkaline batteries only. Do not use carbon zinc batteries and DO NOT mix battery type.
- WARNING! The components of this fixture are not serviceable. Attempting to alter the fixture for any reason may result in voiding the warranty and could result in creating a dangerous situation.
- ATTENTION LEDs can be damaged by electrostatic discharge shock. To remove this hazard, touch a grounded bare metal surface to discharge yourself before installation.
- ATTENTION Cold weather may affect the performance of the fixture. Alkaline batteries can lose voltage when temperatures are near freezing. This will affect the performance of the PIR in your fixture. The security light will perform as expected when temperatures rise.

Things to Consider Prior to Mounting
SELECT A LOCATION THAT ALLOWS THE SENSOR TO PERFORM AT ITS PEAK EFFICIENCY.
MINIMUM MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8 FT.
OPTIMAL MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8-10 FT.
Mounting above 10 ft. can decrease the sensor detection range.
DO NOT mount near light sources (street lights, traffc).
DO NOT mount on the ground.
THE FIXTURE USES A PASSIVE INFRARED (PIR) MOTION SENSOR AND AS SUCH DETECTS CHANGES IN INFRARED RADIATION OF WARM OBJECTS MOVING ACROSS THE DETECTION ZONES.
- The PIR sensor can be triggered by a variety of sources including dryer vents, hot tubs, idling vehicles, etc.
- The PIR sensor CANNOT detect motion through plexiglass, plastic, or glass barriers.
- DO NOT aim the PIR toward areas with pedestrian and motorized traffc and/or other objects that generate heat.
- DO NOT mount near nighttime light sources (street lights, traffc). Light sources can cause the light to operate in daylight mode.
How to Install/Replace the Batteries
-
Remove Battery Compartment Cover
Remove fixture from mounting bracket. Remove all four (4) screws from the battery compartment cover. Remove the battery compartment cover. -
Insert Batteries
Insert four new alkaline D cell batteries (not included) into the battery compartment and match the polarity marked on the back of the battery compartment with the “+” and “-” markings. -
Re-attach Battery Compartment Cover
Re-attach the battery compartment cover by aligning the compartment cover onto the fixture. Close the compartment cover and then re-attach the screws.
How to Attach the Light
- The fixture can be mounted on masonry and wood surfaces. (see below).
- Line up the holes in the mounting bracket with the prepared mounting holes. Drive the screws in until the mounting plate is secure.
Finishing Up
Attach the security light to the mounting plate by positioning the security
light above the mounting plate. Slide the outer tabs on the security light
into the grooves of the mounting base until snug.
Adjusting the Light Heads
The individual light heads can be adjusted up/down and left/right to aim the
light heads in the direction desired.
Factory Presets
SetToGo: The security light is PRESET at the factory with the following settings:
- Range: 40 feet Detection distance
- Time: 20 seconds (Duration) Time the light stays on after detecting motion
If these settings are acceptable for your needs, you don’t need to do anything more with the SetToGo settings except doing the actual installation of the fixture. The light turns on when the motion sensor detects movement. The sensor detects motion up to 40 ft. The 180-degree coverage of the motion sensor is measured side-to-side. The sensor is more effective side-to-side, rather than motion coming from the front (in and out). The fixed timer is 20 seconds – The light will stay on for 20 seconds after motion detection (only during night hours).
How the Controls Work
ROTARY KNOB
- Off: Select Off to completely switch off the device.
- Auto: This is the normal Automatic motion sensing mode. The light will stay on as long as the fixture detects motion. After the fixture no longer senses motion, it will turn off after 20 seconds.
- ES: This is an energy-saving mode. When motion is detected, the light turns on at 70% brightness for 20 seconds. When the fixture no longer senses motion, it will go to 20% brightness. Then the light will turn off completely after 40 seconds.
DUSK LEARN BUTTON
The light is preset to work only after dusk. If you want the light to work
at a predetermined “dusk” time, then you need to set it using the Dusk Learn
button. Press the Dusk Learn button once to recalibrate the dusk level to the
current light level. The motion sensor will now activate at this light level
from now on. If you want the light to work day and night (regardless of the
light level), push the Dusk Learn button while the fixture is outdoors during
the day, or hold the fixture up to a light source and push the Dusk Learn
button. Motion will turn the light on, day or night, regardless of the light
level; the red LED indicator will blink twice to let you know it has reset the
dusk level. To return to the default setting, push the Dusk Learn for around 3
seconds and the red LED indicator will blink twice to indicate that you have
returned to the default setting.
