USE

Batteries
Four or eight AA alkaline batteries are recommended (not included). Insert the batteries with the correct polarity as shown on the battery cover. Remove the batteries if the product is not going to be used for some time. Otherwise, there is a risk the batteries may leak and damage the product. The product can also be connected to a DC power supply (6 VDC, 2 A). When the batteries are discharged, the message Low Battery is displayed on the screen in settings mode.

Inserting the TF card
The product does not have a built-in memory and does not work without a TF card. The product supports TF cards up to 32 GB. If using a higher capacity TF card, ensure before use that the card is compatible with the product.

Settings mode
Turn the power switch to TEST to activate settings mode. In this mode, the product works like a regular digital camera for taking photographs and videos. Open the menu to set the parameters. The functions of the 6 keys on the keypad are described below.KAYOBA-023910-Trail-Camera-5

  • Press the UP key to set the product for recording video clips.
  • Press the Down key to set the product for taking photos.

Real-time mode
Turn the power switch to ON to activate real-time mode. The motion sensor light flashes for approximately 15 seconds and the product switches to automatic mode without manual operation. The product takes photos or records video if wildlife or other movement is detected inside the PIR sensor range. The product goes into standby mode when the movements inside the PIR sensor range have stopped.

NOTE: We recommend mounting the camera between 1 and 2 metres off the ground. To avoid false triggers caused by temperature or movement, do not place the product so it is facing a source of heat (e.g. the sun) or is close to branches or similar objects. Ideally, the product should be facing north or south. Remove any branches and twigs close to the front of the product.
