How will I be informed about software updates?
New firmware versions or further documentation are updated for the PROmesh P20 at regular intervals. You can be informed about this automatically. To do this, you must register for the update service under the link: https://www.indusol.com/support/downloads/update-service/ to register for the update service. We recommend that you always use the latest software version and the latest documentation for the product.

The PROmesh P20 is a full-managed Ethernet/PROFINET switch for industrial automation systems which can be easily and conveniently configured via a we interface. It enables the configuration of bus, star and ring structures.
Before putting the PROmesh P20 into operation, check whether it is in perfect condition externally. Always observe the technical specifications of the device to ensure safe and optimal use. The PROmesh P20 is designed for IP30 protection environments. Take appropriate measures to ensure proper operation of the unit in a different environment.
In case of suspected damage, please return the PROmesh P20 immediately to your supplier and do not put it into operation.
Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Unauthorized opening of the housing will void any warranty claims.

Insert the SD card into the slot provided on the back of the PROmesh P20 before the first start-up.
Mount the PROmesh P20 upright in the switch cabinet on a on a 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 60715).

The following distances to other modules must be observed:

  • right / left: 20 mm
  • top / bottom: 50 mm

! WARNING
Do not mount the PROmesh P20 directly next to devices that generate strong electromagnetic interference fields or constantly emit heat to their surroundings. Also protect the PROmesh P20 from intense sunlight.

Power Supply

The PROmesh P20 is operated with a redundant DC voltage of 12 – 48VDC, Connect a suitable power source to the labeled terminals of the 7-pin 5,0 mm terminal block.
Connect the positive lead to one of the VDC contacts and the ammunition lead to the corresponding GND contact.
If the external power supply is correctly connected and activated, all status LEDs of the PROmesh P20 will light up briefly. After a short initialization phase the LEDs go out and the device is ready for operation and can now be configured in the network.

! WARNING

Configuring a Network Connection
Download the Service Tool to your client PC (Windows). You can find the software on our website: https://sdx.indu-sol.com/s/fZDLQTyzLPg9RPR

NOTE
Our software is updated regularly. Please, make sure you are using the latest version.
Connect the PC to a suitable data line on one of the data ports (P1 – 16, G1 – G4).
The PROmesh P20 is delivered with the following factory settings:

IP Address 0.0.0.0
Subnet mask 0.0.0.0
Gateway 0.0.0.0
Username admin
Password admin

You can customize them with the Service Tool already installed. Connect your PC to one of the 20 available ports of the switch. Then perform a device scan with the Service Tool. Make sure that the field „PROFINET device“ is selected under the scan settings.
After you have performed the scan, you can adjust the IP address, the subnet mask, the default gateway and the PROFINET name of the PROmesh P20 according to your needs.

! NOTE
Make sure that the IP address you selected has not yet been assigned. If required, you can display IP addresses that have already been assigned using the Pros can® Active V2 license software from Indu-Sol.

! WARNING
We recommend to change the factory-set password at the 1st login. It is your responsibility to document this password and protect it against unauthorized access

Accessing the Web User Interface

The device-specific functions of the PROmesh P20 can be configured via an integrated we interface. Open your browser, enter the IP address of the PROmesh P20 configured in the Service Tool in your browser bar. Alternatively, you can right-click on the  corresponding list entry in the context menu of the Service Tool to select „to website“.
The Web UI now opens in your standard browser.
