GENERAL WARNINGS

It is very important to store this instructions booklet with the washing system for future reference. These warnings have been prepared for your safety and that of others; therefore, we kindly ask you to read them carefully before installing and using the washing system:
– Upon reception of the goods, if the packaging is not intact or is damaged, report the following: “GOODS SUBJECT TO CHECK”, with the specification of the damage and countersigned by the driver; file a written complaint with the vendor within 4 calendar days (not business days) from the date of delivery, after which no complaints shall be accepted.
– Any modification to the electrical system that might be required to install the washing system must be carried out by competent personnel only.
– It is hazardous to modify or attempt to modify the features of this washing system.
The washing system inside the oven must never be cleaned with jets of water or steam, as the possible entry of water or steam could limit its safety.
– Before servicing or cleaning the washing system, disconnect the oven from the power supply.
– Do not attempt to perform periodic checks or repairs. Contact the nearest Service Centre and only use original spare parts.
– The washing system is not intended to be used by children and/or persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities, or who lack experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Note: The inappropriate or incorrect use and failure to comply with installation rules shall invalidate any Manufacturer liability. In this regard, the instructions laid out in the “Installation in the oven” paragraph must be strictly complied with.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

The noise level of the washing system in operation is less than 70 dB (A).
The “technical data” plate is located on the metal plate that supports the washing system (inside the oven).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER

All installation and commissioning operations must exclusively be performed by technically skilled installers, according to the authorization and instructions of the Manufacturer and in compliance with national standards in force.
Any work on the washing system installed inside the oven must be carried out with the oven switched off electrically.
IN HANDLING AND ASSEMBLY OPERATIONS OF THE WASHING SYSTEM, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
Self-rotating nozzle assembly (Figs. 1-2)
Before installing the washing system in the oven, the self-rotating nozzle is mounted inside the cooking chamber, operating as follows:
Unscrew the threaded cap (A) from the fixing seat of the self-rotating nozzle on the ceiling of  the cooking chamber: use a 17 mm spanner.
Using the same spanner, screw the self-rotating nozzle (A) into its threaded seat (B).

Installation in the oven (Figs. 3 – 3a)
To install the washing system, remove the right side of the oven by unscrewing the self-tapping screws along the rear side.
For the MKF 2011 BM and MKF 1664 BM models, it is also necessary to remove the cover caps “A” on the side and unscrew the screws inside.
Remove the side by sliding it towards the rear of the oven: exert adequate traction in the direction of the arrow.

Mechanical fixing in the oven (Fig. 4)
The plate supporting the washing system must be positioned on the oven base.
Keep it slightly raised, and check that the 2 “snap-on” caps (A) attached to the back of the plate are aligned above the “retention” pins (B) on the oven base.
Push down the plate so that the 2 “snap-on” caps are fully inserted on their “retention” pins.

Water circuit connection (Figs. 5/ 5a- 6 -7-8-9)
The following are supplied with the washing system: a straight fitting and an elbow fitting (with tang) (both made of plastic and with “JG” quick couplings), a red plastic “seeger”, a small rubber grommet, a plastic draught filter, a ceramic ballasted cylinder and  160 centimeters of polyethylene pipe for the various water connections.
Using an appropriate tool, open the 2 holes on the back of the oven’s base.

Install the rubber grommet (B) in the hole “A”.
Through the hole “C”, insert the tang of the elbow fitting (D), and holding the fitting between your fingers, insert the straight fitting (E) on the tang. To lock the straight fitting to the tang, insert the “seeger” (F) between the movable part and the fixed part of the  quick coupling “JG” of the straight fitting: from the side inserted in the tang.

Insert the polyethylene pipe (G) between the valve (H) and the straight fitting (E). The pipe must be passed through the appropriate cable gland (I) on the oven pedestal Insert the polyethylene pipe (L) between the elbow fitting (M) and the straight fitting (N).

The lengths of the polyethylene pipes “G” and “L”, for the various oven models, are shown in the following table:.

Warnings
To cut the polyethylene pipes to the indicated size, use a special pipe cutter scissor that allows a precise cut without any burrs.
When inserting the pipe into the couplings, the burrs could damage the rubber “O-rings” inside the “JG” quick couplings (inevitable and dangerous water leaks).
The polyethylene pipes “G” and “L”, must be inserted in the “JG” quick couplings keeping them aligned at the inlet of the fittings; otherwise, the rubber “O-rings” inside the quick couplings could be damaged (inevitable and dangerous water leaks).
Insert the end part of the nylon tube (O), already connected to the washing system, first through the special hole (I) on the oven pedestal, then through the rubber grommet (B) mounted on the oven base. Then pass it through the hole in the ceramic ballasted  cylinder (P), and finally connect it to the draught filter (Q).
Slide the ceramic ballasted cylinder onto the draught filter, and lock it to the filter by applying light pressure.

Important
Before putting the right side back in place, it is advisable to check for any water leaks from the various fittings/pipes fitted. For this purpose, it is useful to operate the washing system with a rinse cycle (Program L4).

Electrical circuit connection (Figs. 10 -10a-11)
The installed washing system must be electrically connected to the same electronic board that manages the operation of the oven. To make this connection, the left side of the oven must be removed by unscrewing the selftapping screws on the rear side. For the MKF 2011 BM and MKF 1664 BM models, it is also necessary to remove the cover caps “A” on the side and unscrew the screws inside. Remove the side by sliding it towards the rear of the oven: exert adequate traction in the direction of the arrow (Figs. 10 -10a).

The washing system has an electrical connection cable (A) with a special “4-pin” connector (B).
The connector must be inserted in the relative “4-pin” socket (C) present on the “box” that houses the electronic board of the oven. And for this purpose, the electrical connection cable must be passed over the oven base, crossing it: until the “4-pin” connector  comes out from the left side, in the direction of the “box” that houses the oven’s electronic board.
Insert the “4-pin” connector into the relative “4-pin” socket on the “box”, and put the left side back in place operating in reverse.

Connection to the water mains (Fig. 12)
The washing system must be powered with drinking water at a maximum temperature of 30°C.
The water pressure must be between 150 and 200 kPa (1.5-2.0 bar). If the value is lower than 1.5 bar use a pump to raise the pressure.
The connection to the water mains must be made through the elbow fitting (A), with quick coupling “JG”, mounted on the back of the oven base.
Use the supplied polyethylene hose (B) with the mechanical filter (C) provided. The filter is complete with a special ¾” (D) fitting for connection to a shut-off valve. Before connecting the filter, let out a certain amount of water to clear the duct from any deposits.

Washing function activation (Pic. 13)
After installing the washing system in the oven, it is necessary to activate its operating function on the display.
From the STAND-BY screen, simultaneously touch the symbols (hidden) and (available on the sides of the display) for at least 5 seconds. Touch the symbol (3 times) until parameter “ ” is selected. Touch the symbol to confirm the selection of the parameter and make it operational. Touch the symbol to set the washing activation code: from “ ” to “ “. Touch the symbol to confirm the activation of the wash. Finally, touch the time digits (on the display at the top) to return to the STAND-BY screen.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

For safety reasons, the washing system does not activate if the temperature inside the oven chamber exceeds 90°C.
Before performing a washing cycle ensure the drain is free to avoid overflowing into the cooking chamber.
The washing programs and the frequency with which to use them depend on the type of products baked in the oven.
To maintain adequate hygienic levels and to prevent spoiling the stainless steel of the cooking chamber, the Manufacturers recommend performing one “L3” long lasting washing cycle at least once a day.
In the event of caked dirt forming, it must be removed and manual cleaning must be performed.
The first time the washing system is used, and every time the peristaltic pump is emptied, the CP program must be activated, otherwise the quality of the washing will be compromised.

Washing system operation
The washing system is operated through the control panel of the oven.
To execute one of the operational programs provided by the washing system, operate as follows: (refer to the operating manual and instructions of the oven)
Touch the symbol (no.4 Fig. 2): the display shows the PARAMETER SCREEN concerning the “number of steps” where, instead of the “2 digits”, by touching the symbols and you can select (within 5 seconds) the desired washing program: the corresponding  “washing time” is also displayed. To confirm (within 5 seconds), touch the symbol (the symbol becomes ), and then to activate it touch the symbol. On the display the “wash time” parameter (hours/minutes) is activated in “countdown” mode. The following washing programs can be selected:

• L1 Eco wash (44 minutes)
• L2 Normal washing (1h18 minutes)
• L3 Intensive Wash (1h 52 minutes)
• L4 Rinse (11 minutes)
• CP Loading Pumps (2 minutes)

When the washing program ends regularly, a 10-second beep sounds and the display flashes the PARAMETER SCREEN that shows the parameters of the finished washing program in green.
If a washing program (“L1” / “L2″/ “L3”) is voluntarily interrupted by touching the symbol, the “Rinse” program (“L4”) is automatically activated and cannot be interrupted but ends regularly. The same thing happens in the event of a “blackout” during the  washing cycle, when power is restored to the oven, it automatically performs the rinsing cycle. The “Pump Loading” (“CP”) program once activated cannot be interrupted and ends regularly. The “Rinse” (“L4”) program can be interrupted at any time by tapping the symbol.

• When the temperature in the cooking chamber is above 90°C, washing cannot be activated and the “E 10” alarm appears on the display in orange. To reset the alarm, touch the  symbol : the display shows “Stand-by” mode (paragraph 2.4). To reactivate the  functional mode of the oven, touch the symbol again.

Important
The first time you use the automatic wash and every time you change the detergent tank, it is advisable to use the “CP” program. In this way, the air inside the peristaltic pump and the connection pipes is removed, ensuring the correct functionality of the system.
If the “CP” program is repeated twice in a row, a “Short rinse” program is automatically activated to remove any remaining traces of detergent.
When cleaning is completed leave the oven door slightly open.

Warnings
Do not open the oven door during washing operations, as chemical substances used for cleaning and hot fumes might escape. Danger of corrosion and burns!
Only for mod. EKF 1664 BM and mod. EKF 2011 BM (wheeled models) perform automatic washing with the inner glass of the door in the position: “glass down”.
Before starting a cooking cycle ensure there are no detergent residues in the chamber that has just been washed. Any residues must be removed with a moist cloth suitably protecting your hands, eyes and mouth, and the cooking chamber must be thoroughly rinsed.

RESIDUAL RISKS

The washing system installed inside the oven is equipped with electrical parts: do not wash the oven with jets of water or steam which, even in small quantities, could reach its electrical components.
The washing system installed inside the oven is electrically connected: before carrying out any maintenance, cut off the oven’s power supply.

TROUBLESHOOTING

After selecting a washing program and activating “START”, the  program does not start (the control panel display reads: E10)| – The temperature in the cooking chamber exceeds 90°C; therefore, it is not possible to run the selected program| – Wait for the temperature inside the cooking chamber to drop below 90°C.  (To speed up the cooling of the cooking chamber, use the “COOLING” program)
The cooking chamber is not washed properly| – The detergent used is different from the one supplied by the Manufacturers| – Exclusively use the detergent supplied by the Manufacturers
– Detergent has run out| – Use a new detergent canister
– No water gets to the self-rotating nozzle| – Ensure the washing system water inlet is not obstructed
– The detergent pump does not work| – Contact a skilled technician

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Before leaving the factory, this washing system was calibrated and tested by experienced and skilled personnel in order to obtain the best operation results.
Every repair or calibration that may be required must be done with the utmost care and attention, complying with applicable national safety regulations. We recommend that you always contact the dealer who made the sale or our nearest Service Centre,  specifying the type of problem and the serial number: this can be read on the special label on the metal plate that supports the system (inside the oven).
For servicing needs the user may contact Taneka on the numbers shown on the cover, or refer to the website www.tecnoeka.com.

DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE

**** In accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU on the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the equipment indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13 August 2015, and that at the end of its  services life it must be disposed of separately from other waste.
At the end of the appliance’s service life, the user must, therefore, deliver it to the appropriate centers (recycling centers) for the separate collection of electrical and electronic waste.
All TECNOEKA appliances are made of recyclable metal materials (stainless steel, galvanized sheet metal, iron, copper, aluminium, etc.) which make up more than 90% of the total weight of the appliance. Before disposing of the appliance, it is recommended to  make it unusable by removing the power supply cable and removing the mechanism for closing compartments and/or cavities if present.
The separate waste collection and subsequent treatment, recovery and disposal, are conducive to the production of equipment with recycled materials and reduce the negative effects on the environment and health possibly caused by incorrect waste handling.  Illegal disposal of the product by the user entails the application of administrative penalties.

CONVENTIONAL WARRANTY

The Taneka product is designed for food use only and is covered by warranty according to law (art. 1490 and subsequent articles of the Italian Civil Code) for Professional Customers or customers who purchase from the Dealer with a VAT number. The  Tokoeka product is professional and certified according to IEC EN 60335-1 and can only be sold to professional users.
With the exclusion of any additional warranty, the Vendor agrees to repair, at its sole discretion, only those parts of the products that prove to be tainted by an original fault as long as, subject to forfeiture, the customer has reported the fault within 12 months  from the date of purchase and reported the defect within 8 days from the date of discovery, in writing, attaching a copy of the invoice, receipt or tax receipt as proof of purchase.
Including the event in which the customer is unable to produce the invoice, receipt or tax receipt as proof of purchase, meaning that the terms outlined above are not complied with, the warranty is expressly forfeited in the following cases:

1. Faults or breakdowns of components caused by transport.
2. Damage deriving from inadequate electrical, hydraulic and gas supply systems compared to that provided in the installation manual, or anomalous operation of these systems.
3. Damage deriving from incorrect product installation, or installation not carried out in accordance with the installation manual and, in particular, damage due to the inadequacy of the flues and drains that the product is connected to.
4. Using the product for purposes other than its intended use, as specified and resulting from the technical documentation issued by Taneka.
5. Damage due to using the Product in a manner that is not in line with the instructions in the use and maintenance manual.
6. Tampering with the product.
7. Product adjustment, maintenance and repair activities carried out by unqualified personnel.
8. The use of non-original spare parts or not authorised by Tokoeka.
9. Damage or defects caused by negligent and/or imprudent use of the product, or in contrast with the instructions set forth in the use and maintenance manual.
10. Damage caused by fire or other natural events and, in any case, by unforeseeable circumstances or any other cause beyond the manufacturer’s control.
11. Damage to components subject to normal wear that require periodic replacement.

Also excluded from the warranty: painted or enameled parts, knobs, handles, mobile or removable plastic parts, light bulbs, glass parts, gaskets, electronic parts and any accessory parts, transport fees from the consumer, end user and/or buyer’s location to  Taneka sol, and vice versa. Replacement costs of the oven and relative installation expenses are also excluded from the warranty. The warranty does not cover Products purchased as used or from third parties who are not connected to or authorised by  Taneka.
TECNOEKA SRL shall not be held liable for damage, either direct or indirect, caused by a product fault or as the result of the forced suspension of operation.
Repairs under warranty do not result in the extension or renewal of coverage.
Components replaced under warranty are, in turn, covered by a 6-month warranty from the shipping date, certified by the transport document issued by Taneka.
No-one is authorised to change the warranty terms and conditions or to issue others, neither verbal nor written.

 AVAILABILITY AND SUPPLY OF SPARE PARTS

Taneka rL keeps and ensures the availability of spare parts for a maximum of 24 months from the date of sale of the finished product to the dealer. Availability cannot be guaranteed after said period.

APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENT COURT

Supply relationships will be governed by Italian law, with the express exclusion of the private international law standards and the Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods of 11.4.1980. Any dispute will be settled exclusively by the Court of Padua.

Without prior notice and liability for Taneka Srv, the products presented in the manual may be subject to technical and design changes for the purposes of improvement, without affecting the essential features relating to operation and safety. Taneka Srv shall  not be held liable for any inaccuracy due to printing or clerical errors affecting instruments, and in the technical and commercial description of its products to customers.
