ORTECH OE-G026 LED Exit Signs Instruction Manual

WARNING

WARNING — THE INSTALLATION MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.

  1. LED Exit Signs are suitable for indoor use only. DO NOT use outdoors
  2. Please keep the LED Exit Signs away from any corrosive substance
  3. LED Exit Signs can only be installed by a qualified electrician
  4. Before installation or maintenance, please disconnect the power at fuse or circuit breaker to prevent electric shock

Application Notice

  1. All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances and the National Electric code
  2. DO NOT mount in hazardous locations, or near gas or electric heaters
  3. DO NOT let power cords touch hot surface
  4. Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not be subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel
  5. The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition
  6.  DO NOT use LED Exit Signs for other than intended use
  7. Allow battery to charge for 24 hours before first use

Electrical products can cause death or injury, or damage to property.
If in any doubt about the installation or use of this product, consult a competent electrician.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

Electrical Connections
  • Make the proper AC wire connections

  • If using 120V AC, connect the BLACK and WHITE wires to the building utility

  •  If using 347V AC, connect the RED and WHITE wires to the building utility

  • Cap off unused wires in all cases, use standard wires nuts to connect to wires

  • NOTE: First turn off electricity !

Ceiling and Wall Mounting

  1. Place correct PVC onto the panel (see fig.1)

  2. Fix it on the panel with buttons supplied (see fig.2)

Ceiling and Wall Mounting

  1. Pull out all AC wires from top of fixture for wall and ceiling mounting (see fig.3)

  2. Put the hole plug (in the packing bag) to the side of fixture (see fig.4)

  3. Insert EXIT panel into main body assembly gently (see fig.5)

  4. Feed AC supply wires through canopy center hole

  5. Assemble canopy onto main body assembly with (2) Tappinc Screws (supplied) and make proper wire connections (see ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS on the first page of the instruction manual)

  6. Use (2) PM4-40 screws tighten canopy to crossbar (see fig.6)

  7. The unit can be installed on any surface, you may rotate the EXIT panel in any angle from 0° to 180°, ceiling mounting rotate 90° become wall mounting (see fig.7)

Surface End Mounting

1. Pull out all AC wires from side of the fixture for surface end mounting (see fig.8)

2. Reference Step 1 (also see fig.3), and Step 4 to 7 (also see fig.5 and fig.6) in surface CEILING & WALL MOUNTING above for surface end mounting (also see fig.9)
