MAPerformance MAP Mitsubishi Evo X Catback Installation Guide

What’s in the box?

• 1x MAP Evo X Mid Pipe
• 1x MAP Evo X Axle Section
• 2x MAP Rear Tips (Depending on options)
• 2x 1/2” Bolts
• 2x 1/2” Nuts
• 2x 1/2” Washers

Tools needed

You will need:

• 3/8 Ratchet
• 14mm Socket (Can vary on application)
• 14mm Wrench (Can vary on application)

Note: our install was performed on a vehicle already equipped with an aftermarket exhaust.
Steps may vary if you are removing a stock exhaust, but won’t be drastically different

Instructions

Step 1

Place car on lift or 4 jack stands

Step 2

Remove the bolts securing the 2 bolt flange to the catalytic converter or in this case, the MAP test pipe

Step 3

Remove the 2 rubber hangers securing the muffler to vehicle

Step 4

Remove the rubber hanger near the diff, this should allow the factory catback to be completely removed

Step 5

Install provided hardware and gaskets onto the catalytic converter or test pipe

Step 6

Install front half of the cat back onto the catalytic converter or test pipe

Step 7

Install rubber hangers onto the muffler section, then install the mufflers into the vehicle securing It by the rubber hangers

Step 8

Install included v band clamp, ensure you have the proper fitment before tightening

Step 9

Only follow this step if you have dual exhaust option. Install slip clamp between 2 muffler sections, ensure mufflers are clocked straight before tightening clamp

Step 10

Install included slip on tips, ensure you are using anti seize grease on provided clamp to avoid galling. Start and check for leaks
