LINDY 2 Port Type C, DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Switch

The Lindy 2 Port Type C, DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Switch is a compact desktop solution that allows access and control over two Type C devices such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones from a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor. It supports resolutions up to 3840×2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit and features USB 2.0 ports to connect USB devices, as well as an audio 3.5mm output or input (for microphone) port.

Product Installation

Front

Computer port selection can be made using the push button on the front panel or via auto switching. If there is only one active source connected, the unit switches automatically to that port. We suggest using the included USB Type C 3.2 Gen 2×2 E-marked 0.5m cables and a DisplayPort cable not longer than 3m (not included).
Please reduce the DisplayPort cable length if the video signal is not stable.

Rear

• Type C Power Delivery input port: Connect a Limited PowerSource (LPS) certified USB Type C PD Power Adapter over 65 watts (not included) for device charging.
• DisplayPort OUT port: Connect a monitor DisplayPort with a male-to-male DP cable (not included).
• USB 2.0 Type-A ports: Connect USB devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or storage devices.

Operation

Computer port selection can be made using the push button on the front panel or via auto-switching. If there is only one active source connected, the unit switches automatically to that port. Please note that a Type C port with support for DisplayPort Alternate Mode is required for DisplayPort functionality. For device charging, a Limited Power Source (LPS) certified USB Type C PD Power Adapter over 65 watts is recommended (not included). For video output to work through a USB Type C connection, the connected sources must support DP Alt Mode. Smartphones and tablets with DP Alt Mode support can only display a mirror image. The USB Fast Role Swap feature is not supported, devices may reconnect when removing or adding a USB PD connection.

• The Lindy 2 Port Type C, DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Switch is a compact desktop solution for providing access and control over two Type C devices such as laptops, tablets or smartphones from a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
• One Type C Power Delivery input port can provide up to 100W on the device connected to Type C port number 2 (power supply is not included) and one 3.5mm Audio port can be used as output to connect speakers or headphones, or either as an input to connect a microphone.
• Please note that a Type C port with support for DisplayPort Alternate Mode is required for DisplayPort functionality.

Installation

Front

• SELECT button: push to change the input
• Port status LEDs: the selected input port will illuminate
• USB Type C Input port 1-2: connect the Type C devices using two Type C Male to Male USB 3.2 Gen 2 cables (included), PD up to 100W is supported only on port 2
• 3.5mm AUDIO port: connect 3.5mm speakers, headphones or microphone

Rear

• USB Type C PD port: connect a compatible Type C power supply (not included) if required
• DisplayPort OUT port: connect a DisplayPort monitor using a DP Male to Male cable (not included)
• USB 2.0 Type-A ports: connect USB devices such as mouse, keyboard or mass storage device
