Product Usage Instructions
The Compustar Remote Start RSA-HK11A is designed to be installed in a 2017
Hyundai Santa Fe PTS Automatic. To complete the installation process, some
accessories may be required. It is recommended to visit the manufacturer’s
website to see all the required accessories for your vehicle. The product can
be used for remote start and keyless entry. The user manual provides
information on the supported features,
including security system, comfort, and other functions that are defined by
firmware. The product also includes automatic transmission, cut loop, battery
– 2 pin white, drone – 4 pin gray, RF port – 4 pin blue, RPS sensor – 4 pin
white, sensor 2 – 4 pin green, alarm LED – 2 pin white, temp sensor – 2 pin
blue, programming button LED 2 (RS), FT-DAS – 4 pin red, and BLE – 4 pin
yellow. It is important to note that a security plate may need to be removed
to access smart key module connectors. A bolt extractor and a ratchet can be
used to remove the plate’s tamper-proof screws. Included bolts can be used to
reinstall the security plate if necessary. The T-harness/component locator
provides information on how to locate the different components and connectors
for the installation process.

IMPORTANT
A SECURITY PLATE MAY NEED TO BE REMOVED TO ACCESS SMART KEY MODULE
CONNECTORS. USE A BOLT EXTRACTOR AND A RATCHET TO REMOVE THE PLATE’S TAMPER
PROOF SCREWS. USE INCLUDED BOLTS TO REINSTALL SECURITY PLATE IF NECESSARY.

MODULE PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
WARNING: All vehicle doors must be closed and locked prior to remote start sequence. When programming, only one key fob will be used. The other one must be located at least 10 feet away from the vehicle.
Set ignition to ON position.
Wait, LED 1 will turn solid GREEN for 2 seconds
Set ignition to OFF position.
START vehicle for 15 seconds.
Press and hold the brake pedal.
Press and release the module’s programming button.
Release the brake pedal.
Wait, LED 2 will flash GREEN
Module Programming Procedure completed.
TAKEOVER PROCEDURE
All vehicle doors must be closed and locked prior to remote start sequence.
Time restriction. Complete steps 2 to 5 within 45 seconds.
Press unlock on OEM or aftermarket remote or request switch.
Open driver door and enter vehicle.
Close driver door.
Press and release BRAKE pedal.
Take over procedure completed.
Failure to follow procedure will result in vehicle engine shutdown.

II After a remote starter failure, the parking lights will flash three [3x] times followed by the error code. See table.

3 + 11| CAN communication failure
3 + 12| RS not synchronized. Start vehicle with OEM key for 15 sec before
trying a new RS sequence.

3 + 14| Idle mode or takeover is not available on this vehicle.
3 + 15| Overheat protection.

command from a compatible aftermarket
remote to display the shutdown error code. The parking lights will flash four
