Product Information:
The HG KG 01 is a mini contact grill that comes with heated baking plates, a stainless steel handle, a lock, rubber feet, and an indicator light. It is designed for household use only and should not be used for industrial purposes. The appliance must be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory, or mental abilities only under supervision or with the help of someone who is responsible for their safety. The technical data and design of the product may change without prior notice due to continuous improvements.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Read the instruction manual carefully before using the product for the first time, and retain it for later reference.
- Make sure to remove the packaging carefully and check for any damage to the unit or power cord. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit.
- Set the device on a solid, level surface and observe the positioning clearances shown in Figure 2. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket.
- Once you connect the appliance to the mains, it starts heating and the light turns on. When the heat-up is complete, the light goes out. Let the device operate empty for approximately 10 minutes.
- A slight scent of smoke may occur during first use. This is not harmful and will stop soon.
- The device is now ready for use.
- To clean the unit, switch off and power off the appliance by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
- Let the appliance cool down for at least 20 minutes before cleaning.
- Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the unit’s outer surface. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive materials that could damage the appliance.
- After each use, switch off the appliance and unplug the power cable. Let the appliance cool, clean it, and store it in a dry, cool place.

WARNINGS
- Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
- This appliance may only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance and they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should not be allowed to play with the unit. Children may only clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance under supervision.
- Keep children under the age of 8 away from the appliance and its mains cord!
- Make sure the appliance has not been damaged in transit.
- This appliance may only be use for warming sandwiches, made of sliced bread.
- Do not place anything onto the top of the appliance.
- Place the appliance only onto a stable and horizontal surface.
- Always keep the minimum installation distances indicated in Figure 2. Always observe the health and safety regulations valid in the country of use.
- The appliance must not be used with programmable timers, timer switches or stand-alone remote-controlled systems that can automatically turn the unit on.
- Only for indoor use, in a dry place. Protect it from humid circumstances (e.g.: bathroom, swimming pool).
- It is PROHIBITED to use the unit near bathtubs, basins, showers, swimming pools or saunas.
- Power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning or relocating it.
- Hold the plug, not the power cable when you pull it out from the electric outlet.
- Do not place the appliance onto an electric or gas cooker, onto or near another heat source.
- Operate only under constant supervision.
- Do not operate unattended in the presence of children.
- If any irregular operation is detected (e.g. unusual noise or burnt odor from unit), immediately switch it off and remove the power plug.
- Protect from dust, humidity, sunlight and direct heat radiation.
- Do not touch the unit or the power cable with wet hands.
- Make sure, that the power cable and the plug cannot get in touch water or any other liquids.
- Unwind the power cable completely.
- The appliance may only be connected to properly grounded 230 V ~/50 Hz electric wall outlets.
- Do not use extension cords or power strips to connect the unit.
- Power cable must not get in touch with hot surface.
- The appliance should be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug.
- Lead the power cable so as to prevent it from being pulled out accidentally, and do not let it hang over the edge of a table.
- Heating elements / heated surfaces of the appliance are still warm for a while after the unit has been switched off.
- Switch off the appliance after each use, and unplug the power cable. Let the appliance cool, clean it and store it at a dry, cool place.

Caution: Risk of electric shock! Do not attempt to disassemble of modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist.
In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service facility or similarly qualified personnel.
COMMISSIONING
- Before installation, carefully remove the packaging, and make sure not to damage the unit or the power cord. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated!
- Set the device on a solid, level surface.
- Observe the positioning clearances shown on Figure 2! Observe the requirements effective in the country of use.
- Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket. Now the unit is ready for operation!

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE
- Switch off and power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
- Let the appliance cool down. (20 minutes)
- Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the unit’s outer surface. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Avoid getting water inside of and on the electric components of the appliance.
- The appliance must not be immersed to water.
- Non-stick grill plates have to be cleaned after each use. Wipe the grill plates with a slightly moistened cloth.
- Stubborn, baked-on food residue can be removed with a cloth dipped in mild kitchen detergents. Finally wipe the grill plates with a clean, damp cloth.
STORAGE
When the grill plates had cool down, shut the device and fix the lock. Store
in a cool, dry place.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Malfunction | Possible Solution |

DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must be collected and disposed of separately from household
waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or
health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point
of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and
function. Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of
electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the
health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local
waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the
manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any
associated costs arising.

SANDWICH MAKING

Prepare the sandwiches from toast bread, sliced bread or ciabatta. Place the desired filling on the bottom slice, then cover it with a second slice.

When the appliance has reached the temperature required for making sandwiches, the light goes out. The device will warm up faster with the lid closed.

Release the lock and open the sandwich toaster. Do not touch the hot cooking plate.

Place the prepared sandwiches on the lower baking plate and slowly close the top baking plate.

When the sandwich is properly baked, use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spoon to remove it from the appliance. Do not use metal tools to remove
the sandwiches as they may damage the non-stick coating. -
When making sandwiches is finished, disconnect the cable from the wall socket
