Safety warnings

Read the following warnings to prevent personal injury, CB radio or antenna damage.

• Before using this CB radio, read carefully the instructions in this  manual. Keep the user manual for future reference.

• Before using the CB radio, connect the CB antenna. Check the  SWR before transmitting.

• This CB radio was designed to be powered at 12V DC voltage. Do not  use a voltage higher than the recommended one.

• Do not use the CB radio in an environment with excessive dust or  moisture.

• Do not expose the CB radio to direct sunlight.

• Do not connect the antenna to the CB radio while transmitting.

• Do not use the CB radio near devices that cause interference (eg televisions)

• Do not touch the antenna while transmitting.

• Do not transmit for a long time, the CB radio may heat up and  malfunction.

• Avoid exposing the CB radio to temperatures lower than -26°C and  higher than +80°C. The temperature inside a vehicle can sometimes  exceed 80°C, which can cause irreparable damage in the event of  prolonged exposure.

• Please do not cover the CB radio with other objects as it will prevent  it from cooling up.

• Turning off the CB radio before starting the car’s engine is essential,  to avoid damage caused by high start-up voltage.

• If you notice smoke or odor coming out of the CB radio, unplug the  CB radio immediately and contact a service center.

Installation instructions

Check the CB radio and all its accessories before installation. Power supply the CB radio with the cigarette lighter plug included in the  package. The CB radio must be powered at 12V DC.

The 3A fuse mounted on the power cord protects the CB radio from  the wrong polarity. If the fuse is blown, first remove the cause and then  replace it.

Check the connections before turning on the CB radio. Make sure there  is no risk of short circuit.

CB antenna connection

Connect the CB antenna to the antenna connector on the rear  panel of the CB radio. Tune the antenna in the CB band. For a good  communication distance, the SWR must be less than 2. Too high SWR  may indicate a faulty antenna, damaged cable or a short circuit in the  antenna connection

Never transmit without an antenna.

Note: The antenna must be mounted away from other antennas or sources  of interference. The CB antenna is usually mounted at the highest point  of the vehicle on a metal surface. A metal surface as large as possible is  essential for the correct operation of the antenna. For cabins made of  fiberglass or plastic, special antennas that do not require mass can be  used.

Instructions for use

  1. Rotate the knob [5] to the right until you hear a click. The CB radio  will turn on. The blue indicator LED [3] will light up.
  2. Rotate the knob [5] to the right or to the left to adjust the volume.
  3. Press the PTT button on the microphone to transmit. The red  indicator LED [4] will light up.
  4. Release the PTT button to receive. The green indicator LED [4] will light up.
  5. When the knob [2] is fully rotated to the left, the ASQ mode is  active. Slightly rotate the knob [2] to the right until you hear a click.  The CB radio exits ASQ mode and enters SQ mode (manual squelch  adjustment). Continue to rotate the knob slightly to the right until  the background noise disappears.
