The product comes with two folders: CUBE and XMP. The CUBE folder contains 3D LUTs for color grading video, which can be used in major video editing applications. The XMP folder contains matching profiles for color grading still images in Adobe Lightroom, Lightroom CC, and Camera RAW.

Thank you for purchasing my DJI Air 2S LUTs!
- Inside this folder you will find two folders: CUBE and XMP.
- CUBE contains 3D LUTs for color grading video. These may be used in all major video editing applications and are designed for transforming D-Log footage (captured using the DJI Air 2S) into the Rec.709 color space.
- XMP contains matching profiles for color grading still images in Adobe Lightroom, Lightroom CC and Camera RAW. These could be helpful when color grading a still image from a D-Log video source, or for creative color grading in general.
- Here’s how to install and use the .cube and .xmp files.
DaVinci Resolve
-
Step One: Copy/paste LUTs
Open the CUBE folder in the ZIP file you downloaded. Inside will be a folder labeled DJI Air 2S – Landscape. Copy/paste this folder into the following location: -
macOS /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/LUT/
-
Windows /ProgramData/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Support/LUT/
-
Step Two: Launch Davinci Resolve
Launch DaVinci Resolve, and the LUTs will be automatically loaded. If DaVinci Resolve was open and active when you added the LUTs, either quit and relaunch DaVinci, or right-click in the LUTs panel and select “Refresh -
Step Three: Apply LUTs to footage
Right-click on a serial node in the Color editor and select LUT in the drop- down menu. Navigate to the DJI Air 2S – Landscape menu and select a LUT.
Adobe Premiere Pro
Custom LUTs are applied through Premiere’s Lumetri Color effect. LUTs may be applied from anywhere on your hard drive (by selecting “Browse” from the Input LUT dropdown), or they may be installed within the Premiere Pro application to make the LUTs available in all Premiere projects. For convenience, I recommend doing the latter. Here’s how.
-
Step One: Copy/paste LUTs
Navigate to the following folders on your harddrive. Here you may choose between making the LUTs available only to you, or all users of your computer (if more than one person uses it). -
macOS — Local user only /Users/
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Creative /Users/ /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Technical -
macOS — All users /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Creative /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Technical
-
Windows — Local user only C:\Users\
\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs\Creative C:\Users\ \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs\Technical -
Windows — All users C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\Creative C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\Technical
Premiere organizes LUTs in Technical and Creative folders.
Technical LUTs are “Input” LUTs that appear in Lumetri’s Base Correction > Input LUT drop-down menu. Creative LUTs appear in Lumetri’s Creative > Look drop-down menu.
Technical LUTs are intended for technical Rec.709 transforms, while Creative LUTs extend the former with creative looks and styles. You may install these DJI Air 2S LUTs to either folder, but I recommend using Creative. This allows edits (eg, exposure) to be applied “behind” the Rec.709 LUT, which helps avoid clipping of the blacks and whites once converted. -
Step Two: Launch Adobe Premiere Pro
Open Adobe Premiere Pro, and the Air 2S LUTs will now be available in the Lumetri Color effect. If Premiere was open when you added the LUTs, quit and relaunch the application. -
Step Three: Apply LUTs to footage
Select a clip in your Sequence timeline, then navigate to the Color workspace. You should now see the Lumetri Color panel in the right column of Premiere.
Depending on where you installed the LUTs (Technical or Creative, see Step One), apply an Air 2S LUT through the Basic Corrections > Input dropdown menu, or the Creative > Look dropdown menu.
Final Cut Pro
Custom LUTs may be applied from anywhere on your harddrive using the Custom LUT effect. That said, it’s better to install the LUTs within Final Cut to make the LUTs available to all projects. Here’s how.
-
Step One: Copy/paste LUTs
Navigate to the following macOS directory: /Users//Library/Application Support/ProApps/Custom LUTs/
( Tip : To quickly access the user Library folder, hold down the Option key and click Go in the Finder’s top menu bar. This will temporarily add Library as a dropdown menu option). Copy/paste the DJI Air 2S – Landscape folder containing the .cube files into this directory. -
Step Two: Launch Final Cut
Open Final Cut, and the AIr 2S LUTs will now be available. If Final Cut was open when you added the LUTs, quit and relaunch the application. -
Step Three: Apply Custom LUT effect
Select any clip on your timeline. Open the Effects, panel, select Color, then drag the Custom LUT effect onto your clip. This will add a Custom LUT module to the clip’s Inspector panel.
Inside Custom LUT, click the dropdown menu next to LUT. Select the Air 2S LUT you’d like to use.
Adobe Photoshop
The DJI AIr 2S Landscape LUTs may also be used in Photoshop when editing still images. This can be useful when color grading a single keyframe from a D-Log video source. Here’s how.
- Step One: Add Color Lookup Adjustment Layer
- With an image opened in Photoshop, go to the Layers panel. At the bottom will be a half-filled circle icon. This adds a new adjustment layer. Click the icon, then select Color Lookup from the menu. A new Color Lookup adjustment layer will be added.
- Step Two: Apply LUT
- Select the adjustment layer, then open the Properties panel (Window > Properties if not currently open). Next to 3DLUT File, click the dropdown menu, then select “Load 3D Lut…” at the top. Navigate to .cube files inside the DJI Air 2S Landscape LUTs folder, and select one to apply.
(Tip: To control the strength of the LUT, adjust the Opacity of the Color Lookup adjustment layer in the Layers palette).
Adobe Lightroom Classic / Camera RAW (XMP Files)
Alongside the .cube files in this package are .xmp files. These are custom
profiles for color grading images in Adobe Lightroom Classic, Lightroom CC and
Camera RAW. Each XMP file matches the look of the video LUTs
Here’s how to install and use the .xmp files
- Step One: Install XMP files
- Open Lightroom and select Preferences from the top menu bar. Inside Preferences, select the Presets tab. Click the Show Lightroom Develop Presets button on this page.
- A new operating system window will open with the local preset folder (should be named “Settings”). Copy/paste the DJI Air 2S Landscape folder from inside the XMP folder here.
- Step Two: Quit and relaunch Adobe Lightroom
- Adobe Lightroom must be closed and re-launched for it to see the new files.
- Step Three: Apply profile
- Select any image, then open the Develop panel. At the top of the Basic module will be a Profile row, with a square grid icon at far right. Click this icon to open the Profile Browser.
- Scroll through the browser, and you should see a collection labeled DJI Air 2S – Landscape. Click on any profile inside to color grade your image.
( Tip : To adjust the strength of the effect, use the Amount slider at the top of the Profile Browser panel)
Adobe Lightroom CC (XMP Files)
The installation process for Lightroom CC (the cloud version of Lightroom for desktops and mobile devices) is a little different from Lightroom Classic. Here’s how to use XMP files in that app.
- Step One: Launch Lightroom CC
- Open Lightroom CC on your desktop. Double-click on any image to open the Edit view.
- Step Two: Import Profiles
- At the top of the right panel will be a Profile row with a square grid icon at far right. Click this icon to enter the Profile Browser.
- Next to the “Profile” header will be three dots at far right. Click this, then select “Import Profiles” from the dropdown menu. An operating system window will open to select a folder or file.
- Navigate to the XMP folder in the ZIP you downloaded, then select the DJI Air 2S – Landscape folder inside. Click the Import button at the bottom of the window.
- The profiles should now appear in the profile browser.
- Step Three: Apply Profile
- Toggle open the DJI Air 2S – Landscape option, then select a profile. An Amount slider will appear underneath to adjust the strength of the effect.
