Tablet mount overbed tables are intended to be used in
healthcare facilities to provide patients a surface that spans the
bed or seating allowing them to eat, work, and store personal
belongings. The Tablet Arm allows for a tablet to be mounted to the

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING This manual is intended to instruct a
healthcare professional how to operate and care for the tablet mount overbed
table as well as to provide important information to allow for proper training
of safety to other users of the tablet mount overbed table. Only those
properly trained on its use should operate this tablet mount overbed table.
Using this tablet mount overbed table for anything outside of its intended use
may result in personal injury or damage to the tablet mount overbed table.

2. Receiving Inspection
Remove the tablet mount overbed table from the packaging and inspect it for
damage. If there is any sign of damage, DO NOT USE and contact your provider.

4. Safety Precautions
Carefully read and strictly follow the warnings and cautions listed. WARNINGS:
· DO NOT exceed the safe working load of any surfaces or accessories. · DO NOT
lean or sit on table, as it may cause table to tip. · DO NOT use as assistive
walking device. · DO NOT hang objects from the Tablet Arm or USB Box. · DO NOT
move the tablet mount overbed table by pushing or pulling on the Tablet Arm or
other accessories. · DO NOT force Tablet Arm past its limits of rotation and
vertical height adjustment. · ALWAYS use tablet mount overbed table on flat
surfaces. · ALWAYS make sure the flip surface is clear of items prior to
lowering. · ALWAYS make sure the power cord is unplugged and properly stored
prior to moving the tablet mount overbed table. CAUTIONS: · DO NOT attempt to
move tablet mount overbed table when casters are in locked position. · DO NOT
use any lubricant as it can damage the tablet mount overbed table. · DO NOT
get electrical devices and connections wet. · ALWAYS rinse tablet mount
overbed table with a water-dampened cloth to remove any cleaning agent
residue, and dry thoroughly. · ALWAYS lower the flip gently to its resting
position. · ALWAYS unplug the power cord from main power prior to cleaning.

7. Assembly Instructions
The Tablet Arm, USB Box, and Cord Hook need to be installed onto the overbed
table. The following set of instructions should be followed when installing
the Tablet Arm, USB Box, and Cord Hook to the overbed table.
7.1 Tablet Arm Installation
TOOLS REQUIRED 3MM ALLEN KEY (PROVIDED)
1. After removing the packaging, rotate the upper arm 180° relative to the
lower arm.

2. Tighten the upper limiter screw just until the head contacts the arm using
the 3mm Allen key. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
3. Lower the arm onto the mounting stud. Ensure the arm is fully seated.
4. Ensuring that the arm is facing towards the table, tighten the lower limiter screw just until the head contacts the arm using the 3mm Allen key. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

7.2 USB Bracket and Cord Hook Installation

7.2.1 TM-USB-MNT-01/02-ASY 1. Loosen the thumbscrews on the USB Bracket and
the Cord Hook. Ensure the thumbscrews do not
extend past the adapter plate.

2. Position the USB Bracket at the bottom of the outer column and align the adapter with the outer column rail. It is recommended that the USB Box is placed on the side of the table that faces the patient.
3. Slide the USB Bracket up the column, leaving a gap from the top. Tighten the thumbscrews until hand-tight.

4. Position the Cord Hook at the bottom of the outer column and align the
adapter with the outer column rail.
5. Slide the Cord Hook up the column until it is level with the USB Bracket. Tighten the thumbscrew until hand-tight.

6. Securely tighten the thumbscrews on the Cord Hook and USB Box Bracket using a 5/32″ Allen key.
7. Refer to Section 8.2 for instructions on the use of the Cord Hook.

7.2.2 TM-USB-MNT-03/04-ASY 1. Loosen the thumbscrews on the USB Bracket and
the Cord Hook. Ensure the thumbscrews do not
extend past the adapter plate.

2. Position the USB Bracket at the bottom of the outer column and align the adapter with the outer column rail. Ensure the USB Box is facing the rear side of the Overbed Table. It is recommended that the USB Box is placed on the side of the table that faces the patient.
3. Slide the USB Bracket up the column, leaving a gap from the top. Tighten the thumbscrews until hand-tight.

4. Position the Cord Hook at the bottom of the outer column on the other side and align the adapter with the outer column rail.
5. Slide the Cord Hook up the column until it contacts the USB Bracket. Tighten the thumbscrew until hand-tight.
6. Securely tighten the thumbscrews on the Cord Hook and the USB Box Bracket using a 5/32″ Allen key.
7. Refer to Section 8.2 for instructions on the use of the Cord Hook.

7.3 Tablet Mounting
Tablet mounting procedure will depend on your model of tablet case. The
following are general instructions for mounting the tablet cases available
through Amico Patient Care.

7. Assembly Instructions
1. Identify the VESA pattern that is suitable for the tablet case.
2. Place the screw into the plastic washer. Insert this assembly through the
top two holes of the tablet case. From the front side, place the split washer
followed by the acorn nut. Partially thread the acorn nut onto the screw.
3. Align the screws to the keyhole slots and slide the case onto the VESA
plate.

4. Insert the screw and plastic washer assemblies through the bottom holes of
the VESA plate and tablet case. From the other side, place the split washers
and thread the acorn nuts onto the screws.
5. Holding the acorn nuts stationary with a 5/16″ wrench, use an 3/32″ Allen
key to tighten the four screws.
6. Position the screw cap covers over the plastic washers and firmly press
until the cap snaps onto the plastic washers.

7. Unlock the case by inserting the key and turning it 90 degrees. The lock
pin will pop out and the front cover can be removed. Carefully set it aside.
8. Take your tablet and plug in the charging cable. Feed the cable through
the hole on the back of the case.
9. With the case angled upwards, place the tablet into the case.

10. Assemble the front cover of the case and press the pin to lock the
enclosure.
7.4 Balancing the Arm
TOOLS REQUIRED
5MM ALLEN KEY (PROVIDED) 1. With your tablet and case mounted, use the 5mm
Allen key to rotate the adjustment screw to
adjust the gas spring tension until the tablet does not raise or lower on its
own. a. If the arm raises on its own, turn counter clockwise. b. If the arm
lowers on its own, turn clockwise.

7.5 Cable Routing
1. The back of the VESA plate is recessed to allow the cable to pass through
while a tablet is mounted. The cable clip can be used to hold the cable in
place.
2. Route the USB cable through the cable guard on the upper arm.
3. Remove the cable cover from the lower arm by sliding it upwards.

4. Route the cable along the lower arm and slide the cover back onto the arm.
(The cable should enter should the top hole and exit through the bottom hole
of the cover).
5. Route the cable down through the pass-through hole in the Tablet Mount
Base.
6. Continue to Section 7.5.1 for TM-USB-MNT-01/02-ASY and Section 7.5.2 for
TM-USB-MNT-03/04-ASY.

7.5.1 TM-USB-MNT-01/02-ASY 1. Plug the USB connector into a USB charging port.
7.5.2 TM-USB-MNT-03/04-ASY 1. Route the cable into the space between the USB
Bracket and the column.
2. From inside the bracket, route the cable through the cutout and plug the
USB connector into a USB charging port.

1. Adjust the height and position of the arm by raising, lowering, and
rotating until the desired viewing position is achieved. The ranges of motion
of the arm are shown below.

8.2 Use of Cord Hook
WARNINGS
· DO NOT hang objects from the USB Box. · ALWAYS make sure the power cord is
unplugged and properly stored prior to moving the tablet mount
overbed table. · The Cord Hook should only be used to store the coiled cable.
DO NOT hang any other objects that are not
the coiled cord on the Cord Hook.
1. When not in use, the power cord should be stored on the Cord Hook. The cord should be wrapped around the hook with the plug seated into the hook mount.

8.3 Height Adjustment
WARNINGS · DO NOT exceed the safe working load of any surfaces or accessories.
- To lower tablet mount overbed table, pull up on one of the height
adjustment handles found on
either side of the table and press down on the main surface.
2. To raise the tablet mount overbed table, gently pull up on the table top using both hands.

8.4 Use of Flip Surface (Optional)
WARNINGS · DO NOT exceed the safe working load of any surfaces. · ALWAYS make
sure the flip surface is clear of items prior to lowering.
CAUTIONS · ALWAYS lower the flip gently to its resting position.
1. To raise flip surface, swing surface to a horizontal position and the
support locks in place. 2. To lower flip surface, slightly lift the surface to
release the support lock and then gently lower the
surface to the vertical position.

8.5 Use of Vanity (Optional)
1. To access vanity, pull tray towards you, and lift mirror to vertical
position.
2. To return vanity, lower mirror to horizontal position and push vanity
until it is fully under the main surface.

8.6 Use of Locking Casters (Optional)
CAUTIONS · DO NOT attempt to move overbed table when casters are in locked
position. 1. To lock caster, press down on the lever with your foot. 2. To
unlock caster, lift up on lever with your foot.

8.7 Attaching Accessories (Optional)

8.7.1 URINAL HOOK 1. Tilt the adapter into the mating groove of the accessory
rail of the tablet mount overbed table. 2. Adjust urinal hook to desired
position then turn knob clockwise until adapter is secure in place.

10. Cleaning Instructions
CAUTIONS · ALWAYS rinse tablet mount overbed table with a water-dampened cloth
to remove any cleaning agent
residue, and dry thoroughly. Some cleaning agents are corrosive by nature, and
if not rinsed their residue can cause permanent damage. · ALWAYS unplug the
power cord from main power prior to cleaning. · DO NOT get electrical devices
and connections wet. Amico Patient Care recommends using a mild cleaning agent
or detergent when cleaning this product. If other hospital-grade cleaning
agents are used, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. After
cleaning rinse surfaces using a water-dampened cloth, and dry thoroughly as
some cleaning agents are corrosive by nature, and if not rinsed their residue
can cause permanent damage. Consult Amico Patient Care for approved cleaning
agents for your tablet mount overbed table.

11. Preventative Maintenance Checklist
CAUTIONS · DO NOT use any lubricant as it can damage the tablet mount overbed
table. Periodic inspection of this tablet mount overbed table is recommended.
If any damage or defects are present, the tablet mount overbed table should
not be used. This includes parts that may have been altered, become
contaminated or are worn or missing. If any of the above are noted, immediate
repair or replacement is required. If this tablet mount overbed table is
subject to improper maintenance, repair, use and/or abuse leading to
malfunction of the tablet mount overbed table, replacement is the sole
responsibility of the user. Inspect the following items: All fasteners are
secured Table surfaces are not damaged Height adjustment handle locks and
releases Table moves freely up and down Base is not damaged All casters are
secured and swivel freely Optional storage basket is free from damage and
secured Optional urinal hook is free from damage and secured Optional vanity
operates correctly and is free from damage Any wiring and other electrical
components are intact with no signs of damage Tablet arm is free from damage
and secured USB Bracket assembly and Cord Hook are free from damage and
secured

12. Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy – Patient Care Furniture
Amico Patient Care Corporation will warrant its Patient Care Equipment to be
free from defects as stated in the warranty period mentioned below. Within
this period, Amico Patient Care Corporation will replace any part which is
proven to be defective, at no charge. Shipping and Installation costs after
the first twelve (12) months will be borne by the Customer. Amico Patient Care
Corporation’s warranties are as follows:
· Height Adjustable Overbed Tables, Bassinets (Jordan & Lily Series), Delivery
Carts (Ryan Series), and Carts (Sit-to-Stand Series) – 2 years
· Casegoods, Carts, and Bassinets (Marco, Ava & Connor Series) – 5 years ·
Seating – Limited Lifetime Warranty Note: Parts not manufactured by Amico are
subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. This includes, but is not limited to,
all locks and accessories which have been installed on units by Amico. This
warranty is valid only when the product has been properly installed according
to Amico Patient Care Corporation specifications, used in a normal manner and
serviced according to factory recommendations. It does not cover failures due
to damage which occurs in shipments or failures which result from accidents,
misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration, misapplication or damage that
may be attributable to acts of God. Amico Patient Care Corporation shall not
be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of
the equipment. All claims for warranty must first be approved by Amico Patient
Care Corporation’s Customer Service Department at: apc-csr@amico.com or
905.764.0800. Upon approval, the Customer Service Department will issue a
Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. An RGA must be obtained prior to
commencement of any warranty claim.
