APPLICATION
Thanks to its compact design and splash-proof design, the portable Boom-Box is
an ideal companion in the swimming pool, on trips, on vacation, at garden
parties or while working. Its built-in battery can be charged with a USB-C
connection cable. External devices such as mobile phones, computers, and
multimedia players can be connected to it wired or wirelessly. The device also
has a USB MP3 player. Its built-in microphone allows you to receive phone
calls without touching the phone. The two built-in stereo speakers are located
next to each other on one side of the device, while two passive subwoofers can
be seen at the two ends. It is recommended to turn the stereo pair of speakers
in the direction of the listeners.
Two identical devices can be expanded into a wireless stereo sound system, providing impressive sound.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery must be charged before first use. Connect the supplied USB-C
charging cable to the DC5V USB-C socket under the opening rubber cover.
And the other end to a standard USB charger (not included), the minimum charging current of which should be 0.9A. If it is connected to a charger with a lower load capacity or a computer with a lower load capacity, etc. If you connect it to a USB socket, it may fail due to overload. Recommended chargers: SA 24USB, SA 50USB. Attention! The USB sockets of computers and different devices have different charging characteristics, which are not always suitable for charging this product. Before connecting, check the load capacity of the particular charger or USB socket! Charging current maximums in general: USB2.0: 500 mA / USB3.0, 3.1: 900 mA / USB-C: 1.5A/3.0A
In charging mode, the LED light above the charging socket indicates the process. Turns off when automatic charging is complete. Then remove the charging cable from the sound box and then use the device. With a fully discharged battery, the charging time is approximately 4.5 hours. This provides approximately 10 hours of operation from the built-in battery at medium volume. It also depends on the set volume, the selected mode, the style of the music and the ambient temperature. The test was performed by listening to USB MP3, at room temperature, with the LED lights off.
- It is generally not recommended to listen – especially at a higher volume – while charging. This increases charging time and may cause additional noise and overheating. May reduce battery life.
- A submerging battery can cause a deterioration in sound quality, the BT connection can be interrupted and the sound volume can change. At the end,the charging LED will also flash. Charge the dead battery immediately!
- For a longer service life, keep the battery charged even when not in use!
- The battery used is a lithium-ion type. It does not require maintenance. At the end of its life, it can be removed by a specialist and treated as hazardous waste.
STARTUP
Turn it on by pressing and holding the top right ( ) button (2sec). Switching
off is done similarly. For home use, you can remove the carry tab to get a
better view of the buttons.
VOLUME CONTROL AND FUNCTION CHANGE
Volume control is done by briefly pressing the buttons . When pressed for a
long time, they can sometimes function as a step button when you release them;
for example by stepping through the tracks. This is available for MP3
playback, while it is not guaranteed in BT mode (because it depends on the
device).
After switching on, the BT mode is active, which can be seen from above by a small flashing blue LED next to the on/off button. The desired signal source can be selected by pressing the (7.) MODE button: BT – USB – AUX
Available multimedia functions: wireless BT connection (BT), USB MP3 player and connection of external equipment with cable (AUX). When different signal sources are used, the available services may differ. The function for the device that is not connected is not available. For example, MP3 player mode without connecting a USB storage device.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
The device can be paired with other devices communicating according to the BT
protocol, within a maximum range of 10 meters. After that, you can listen to
music played on mobile phones, tablets, notebooks and other similar devices.
After powering on, make a wireless connection first. BT mode is waiting for
pairing and no device is connected when a small blue LED flashes next to the
on/off button. Place the device to be paired nearby and search for nearby BT
devices, including this speaker, as described in its user manual. Connect the
two devices together. After a successful connection, the blue LED, which had
been flashing rapidly until then, now lights up continuously and a short beep
can be heard. After that, you can listen to the desired program on the
speaker.
The player application of the playback device (e.g. on the mobile phone) can usually be remotely controlled using the buttons on the control panel. These functions are not guaranteed, because communication with a mobile device also depends on the given device. If available, the following functions can be controlled remotely: play and pause, skip forward and backward . The latter with a long button press, because their short press controls the volume.
- To achieve the best sound quality, the volume controls of the Boom-Box and the external playback device must be set in harmony with each other.
- You can perform tone control on the connected external device, using its controls. You can install an equalizer app on your mobile device.
- A speaker can be paired with a BT device at the same time. For example, with a phone.
- If the wireless connection is lost, press the button to reactivate the pairing mode. If necessary, turn off and on the sound box or BT mode on the mobile device.
- Holding down the LED light effect button (9.) interrupts the BT connection.
- If the connection is unsuccessful, the device switches off after approx. 10 minutes.
- If a phone call is received on the connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music playback will be paused. After the conversation, start the resume playback if it doesn’t happen automatically.
- The available range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions. (e.g. walls, human bodies, other electrical devices, movement…)
- Abnormal operation and noise may be caused by electrical devices operating nearby, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device!
- Abnormal operation may be caused by the unique characteristics of the external device, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device! In some cases, the BT function may work to a limited extent depending on the external device.
TRUE WIRELESS STEREO BT CONNECTION
TWS mode: two sound boxes of the same type and with the same BT name can be
paired with each other and with the phone. In this case, the two sound boxes
form a wireless stereo sound system and can play the right and left sound
channels. Switch both sound boxes to BT mode, but only one needs to be set.
Briefly press the (7.) TWS button. A beep indicates the start of pairing and
another when it’s finished. Connect your mobile phone to one of the speakers
and start playing music. You can enjoy double the volume and an impressive
stereo surround effect. It is recommended to place the two sound boxes approx.
place at a distance of 2 meters. A long press of the TWS button will cancel
the TWS mode.
HANDS-FREE PHONE
With the help of the built-in microphone, you can start and receive calls
without touching the phone. If you receive a call in BT mode, you can answer
it by briefly pressing the button . If you press and hold the same button for
a long time, the incoming call will be rejected. During a conversation, long
press to switch from the speaker to the phone and continue the conversation.
Short press to interrupt the conversation. Not all BT functions are
guaranteed, because communication with a mobile device also depends on the
specific device. You can also perform these actions on your phone as usual.
- The microphone is located inside the closed device. For the best sound quality, use your phone in the traditional way
VOICE ASSISTANT
With the help of the built-in microphone, you can use the services on your
phone (SIRI/GOOGLE ASSISTANT) and give voice instructions. For this, you need
to have a BT connection with the phone. Long press button (8.) to activate the
assistant. Then use it as you would on your phone. This feature is available
depending on the mobile device and geographical area.
MP3 PLAYBACK FROM USB MEDIA
The player is ready to use when the device is turned on. Carefully insert the
USB storage device and the device will automatically switch to USB mode and
playback will begin. The blue LED flashes slowly in USB mode. If necessary,
use button (7.) to activate this function. To start playback, press button
(8.), but it also starts automatically after inserting the external device.
You can pause the playback with the same button or select the desired track by
pressing the buttons one by one. By briefly pressing the latter, you can
control the volume.
- Recommended memory file system: FAT32. Do not use an NTFS formatted memory unit!
- If the device does not produce sound or the USB memory is not recognized, remove it and then connect it again. If necessary, switch the device off and on again!
- Only remove the external data storage after switching to a source other than USB or turning off the device! Otherwise, data may be corrupted. It is forbidden to remove the connected external unit during playback!
- The USB device can only be inserted in one way. If you get stuck, turn it over and try again; don’t force it! Do not touch the contacts with your hands!
- Make sure that the device protruding from the device cannot be damaged!
- Abnormal operation may be caused by the unique characteristics of the external storage, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device!
- It is forbidden to charge a device (e.g. mobile phone) from the USB socket!
WIRED AUDIO INPUT (AUX)
The ∅3,5 mm socket under the rubber protective cover is used to receive the
headphone or LINE OUT output of an external device. (mobile phone, tablet,
computer, multimedia player, musical instrument, CD/DVD…). This input is
automatically activated when the audio connection cable is inserted – into the
already switched on device
- If no audio signal is received in the speaker via the connected cable, the device switches off after about 10 minutes.
- The available sound quality depends on the quality of the audio signal provided by the external device and its volume and timbre settings.
- A small signal (volume) entering the sound box can cause extra noise, and a signal that is too large can cause distortion. It is recommended to keep the volume of the signal source at a medium level.
- It may be necessary to purchase a connection cable and, in some cases, an external converter for proper connection.
- For more information, refer to the user manual of the device you want to connect.
RGB LED LIGHT EFFECT
When the speaker is switched on, an LED light effect is activated. This can be
either turned off and on, and you can choose from three different modes by
repeatedly pressing button (9). One mode works by following the rhythm of the
music. With the lights off, the battery lasts longer.
